have you listened to their teaching and analised the real meaning of them, instead swallowing wrong ideas of any one?
And if you're in doubt of anything, did you ask why?
And if a Jehovah witness, had bad manners towards you, does it mean that every Jehovah witnesses are bad, and what they are teaching is wrong?

I don't know much about their meeting. But , I have been to Bible studies with one. They treat me really nice, and are a joy to study with. They let me pick what ever Bible I want to compare scriptures with. They really know the scriptures. Why don't you try having a study with them. You can question them about their beliefs and let the word of God divide the truth . That is what I'm doing. Hope this helps.

Jehovah's Witnesses always take a bible to their meetings and check everything they discuss with the bible. When I first went to a Kingdom Hall I took my version of the bible and checked what was said with it. It doesn't matter what version you use - the message is the same. They all say the same thing.
If you go to a house of worship & claim to follow God then scripture must be used and Jehovah's Witnesses always do that.

There are a lot of biased views towards Jehovah's Witnesses but it is only to be expected as we are living in Satan's world (God has allowed him to rule - temporarily)

I never been to a Meeting but I don't rule it out. I find that they are good people, trying their best to help others. Maybe going to a Jehovah Witness meeting will stop a lot the hatred in people.

just reading through some of the answers given it is obvious there are still a lot of people who still don't actually understand Jehovah's witnesses.
we preach because Jesus did and told Christians to. (luke 8:, 10:1-9, matthew 24:14, 28:19. also james 2:14-26)
we do not force our beliefs on anybody. we come to people as Jesus did, offer to share the bible with others and if people wont accept it, we leave and offer someone else the oppertunity rather than waste our time argueing with people who don't want to know.
if a person who claims to be a Jehovah's witness does not live as a witness, diliberately ignoring the commands of the bible, he or she cannot be called a Jehovah's witness as they are not doing what is required.
we use a commonly accepted pronunciation of the name of God. that is Jehovah, which appears more than 7000 times in the original texts, but has been removed by ''christians''.
we meet for 5 hours a week spaced over three days holding to the words at hebrews 10:24,25.
we do not judge people on what they believe as luke 6:37 tells us to stop judging.
we use the meanings of hebrew and greek words to understand the meaning of verses in the bible. the word used for 'days' in genesis 1 refers to an undefined period of time (not 7000 years as enfin mentioned), the word stauros and xylem usually translated as cross or crusifix actually refer to pole, stake or tree. not two pieces of wood crossing. and then there is sheol and hades which are translated as hell in many bibles, which actually just refer to the common grave of mankind, not a place of firey torment. in fact, the common understanding of hell is a recent thing. untill recently, hell just refered to being covered over by dirt.
Jesus identified his true followers in john 13:34,35. no other organisation has greater love than Jehovahs witnesses.
and if you don't like us still, either go to www.watchtower.org or see if you fancy joining in with hating us as mentioned at matthew 24;9

Jehovah's Witnesses consider the Holy Scriptures as the final word in all matters of worship, and actually encourage their adherents to elevate the bible over the human traditions which pass as worship for too many humans.

(Matthew 15:3,9) [Jesus] said to them: “Why is it you also overstep the commandment of God because of your tradition? ...It is in vain that they keep worshiping [God], because they teach commands of men as doctrines.

(Mark 7:8) Letting go the commandment of God, you hold fast the tradition of men.

(Colossians 2:8) Look out: perhaps there may be someone who will carry you off as his prey through the philosophy and empty deception according to the tradition of men, according to the elementary things of the world and not according to Christ

The meetings and publications of Jehovah's Witnesses could no more replace the bible than contacts or eyeglasses could replace the eyes.

i have friends that are JWs and they are very very respectful. one thing i like about them is that they are level-headed and have very high moral standards. They might be a bit old-fashioned and don not celebrate x-mas and stuff, but i think they are balanced people.
