Faster time is more likely to get you there first. The other distance may be shorter but your GPS takes into account that those ways tend to be busier. The fastest time way takes you where there is less traffic on the road or less traffic lights.

As long as you have the average speeds for road types set up correctly then the fastest time route will get you there faster......

It all depends on how fast you drive on different types of road and what the actual road conditions are at the time.
