I've heard about these phone scams. There's another coming out of the Bahamas (using ares codes 809 & 827) which try to keep you on the phone for as long as possible, in order to incur charges onto your account.
One guy here in the U.S. had a $20,000 (almost 16,000 Euro), and he can't fight in since he DID call the number back, and he DID stay on the phone. I recommend that you do not, under any circumstances, pick up the phone from people who have an out-of-area area code.

Get intouch with the Telephoen Preference Service. You can block all calls like this from your mobile and land lines. Go online and register, it very easy, it may take a couple of weeks, but it will come intoforce. I did it a couple of yeara ago and I don't get any more. Good Luck

This is a con trick.
Report it to your phone provider and get them to block all calls,
until then hang up as soon as you know that it is them. Also check your phone bill asap to make sure that you are not being charged for anything
I f your computer connection is on the same number check that as well

Almost some sort of scam being played out here but I can see it without more detail. I would suggest you set your phone not to accept calls from that number. Or just hit the "NO" button when they call.

Put them on www.gumtree.com and on yahoo personal with a lady's pic on it and give his no. so that he gets 100's of call everyday and it will drive him nuts instead of you (tit for tat), I tried calling him it seems like he has redirected his no. somewhere else(the ringer was funny not like normal).
