Quicktime is better. It's free and its found on Apple's website.

quick time is good when concidered for movies but for playing .dat,.mpeg, .mp3,.wav,etc songs audios vidios also wmp is good...
my suggestion is get patch for wmp tat would be better than buy quicktime
