Only two Popes, Leo I and Gregory I were ever assigned the moniker 'The Great'...

Here, in England, we have had many an illustrious king throughout the centuries, but only one king Alfred, the unifer of our nation ever got this title...back in the Saxon times

To me, this is indicative that there were other Popes that did more and better things...History is a fickle beast!

no pope is favered by God and if respected by men miss the whole point of the bible. only God is Good and should be praised (served ) as master called father etc

I don't think so. I think people still have John Paul fever.

Personally I think we should have kept the line in our Westminster confession that called the pop an anti-Christ.
