nothing at all.. it just means that your not arrogant enough believe in certainty...it means that you can admit that there are some things in this world that we are not sure of...its much better than enforcing an idea based on ignorance

Hello!! :o) It's much better to be an Agnostic than an Atheist. Atheists are the most closed minded people in the world. [Although they are convinced that they are the most open minded] Agnostics - on the other hand - are [quite possibly] the most open minded. [And this is coming from a Christian] I do think - however - that it's dangerous to become so comforted by the idea that 'you' don't know something - that 'you' stop asking questions. [And this applies to everyone - including Christians] It is our responsibility in life to at least TRY to find the answers. And I believe - ultimately - to find God. I bet if most of us [and again - this includes Christians] made a list on a big piece of paper what we know of God and on one side wrote the heading - "GOD - based on what MAN has said" - and on the other side wrote, "GOD - based on what the Bible says" - I think most of us would be quite surprised by how MAN has influenced our impression of GOD. Have a great day. And keep seeking the truth. Craig!! :o)

Nothing is wrong with being agnostic if you are still honestly searching, meditating on the truth, and talking to the unknown in honest hope if there is a God you will get the guidance you need to KNOW one way or the other. And are willing to commit to the answers you get.
The stakes are to high not to honestly, diligently search for the TRUTH.

Here's what I would think was the biggest problem. Ben Franklin once said that there's only 2 things that are certain.........death and taxes. I would narrow that down to one thing.......death. I know people who don't pay taxes. We are all going to die. That's for sure. There are at least 3 billion people on this earth who believe that on the other side of that death there is an eternal heaven and a hell if you consider christianity, islam, certain portions of judaism and even other religions. Each one believes that there are certain criterions for getting into heaven and staying out of hell and they all have different criterions. As an agnostic you're saying that you just don't know. I would say you better find out because once you get there it might just be too late to choose(in fact, that is what all the religions say).

Our society prefers to label and catagorize people in the easiest terms: Black/ White/ Hispanic/ Asian, Christian/ Jew/ Muslim/ even Athiest. I think the common feeling is that Agnostics essentially haven't chosen a 'side' to be on. Also, Athiesm evokes such negativity, that many Athiests announce themselves to be Agnostic so as to soften the image. In that instance, Agnostics are lumped in with Athiests. While there's nothing wrong with either, they're both deemed threatening to organized religions.

It is fine to be agnostic if you can't or won't commit to anything. I suggest that you honestly look at the facts. How do Christians deal with the atheist/agnostic/spiritual ...look at some ot the answers that you received just now. Apparently atheists 'believe in themselves'. What kind of mumbo jumbo is that? I believe that I am going to die, that's it. For me there is the reality of being born, living and finally(very finally) dying.
For believers there is circular logic like, "The Bible is true because it is inspired by God, and God is real because the Bible is true.", and sly put-downs of rational, logical people saying that they 'believe in themselves' because they are arrogant.
You decide.

There is nothing wrong with being agnostic its asking insecure questions like these that people will ridicule you. Don't worry my friend its way worst to be Atheist, Christians always tend to think they're better than you saying "I'll pray for you" like i need help. But I still don't judge them.

at least you are not rejecting a god, the way I was presented it was as a table with God exsists and God does not exist as being columns and the rows are Believe and don't believe, so basically you believe in GOd and he exists, salvation. You believe in God and he does not exists, maybe you missed out on some fun or a career as an assasine or something. Then if you don't believe in God and he doesn't exist, no harm no foul, but if he does exist eternal damnation. So basically it comes down to economics and cost benefit analysis, the reward of salvation for its potential cost of not coming through (i.e. living with in the parameters of society) is a better deal than the reward of having a devious guilt free life for its potential cost of enternal suffering.
I hope this makes some sense, it is much easier with a diagram, so basically I am saying choose one way or the other, because with out choosing there is no benefit and all loss. I think that choosing either right or wrong is better than not choosing at all, there are plenty of stories illustrating this point

Absolutely nothing.
If people didn't doubt that which everyone is "certain of", we'd have never made it out of caves, let alone to the moon. If the day ever comes when god is proven to be imaginary, we will have the agnostics to thank.

Is there a probability that religions are merely myths? Yes
Is there a probability that a supreme being exists despite the lack of credible evidence? Yes
How can you be sure of ANYTHÄ°NG?
So, the only rational way is agnosticism..

There's nothing wrong with being agnostic.
It's the perfectly rationale position because neither side is proven.
One side just likes to tell you they are and then ask you for money.
