No, it can not be eliminated. Because it is not a problem of these days. Remember, When Kams imprisoned Vasudev and Devki with an intention to kill Devki's eighth child, the eighth child of Vasudev and Devki, simply slipped out of the prison and the angry Kamsh asked his Jail Superintendent to tell him who got the bribe from Vasudev. That shows that the bribary was in existence even in those days. And that was the only realistic way for the eighth child of Vasudev to slip the prison also.

Forget it, be practical. But, still, the bribe can be stopped only when people decide to hunt for short cut and give bribe to achieve that.

No Ticket Collector comes to the passanger and asks for the bribe. There are many perhaps including you, who don't prefer to travel in the unreserved compartment when you don't get confirmed reservation instead of that running behind the TTE to get the reservation by bribing him.

There are very few who pay their Sales Tax and avoid the long arm of the law by tipping the Sales Tax Personnel.

There are very few who pay their I.T. regularly instead prefer to pay huge to their CA who suggests fradulant practices.

If the bribary is to be stopped, these people should be hanged instead of running after the Government employees alone and

eliminating corruption is just like a chain smoker or a drug addict being denied his daily quota. He will do anything to get it.

As long as there are suppliers ever ready to quench their thirst, they manage their quota of daily bread.

Same way unless we the general public take oath not to get their work done with bribes, I do not see an end to this.

While having a chat George Bush requested God to let him see whats going on in his country. He saw downwards and started crying bcoz there was so much terrorism going on in his country. He said I wish i could eradicate this Terrorism.
