Kittens do this, prodding with their paws on their mothers nipples, to produce the milk, when they feed themselves, they continue to do it as a comforting mechanism. It reminds them of their mother, and is normally accompanied by a purr of pleasure. There is nothing wrong with it, is is non sexual, its just the sign of a happy cat.

I knew when I opened your question you were going to say about paddling it!
Mine do this too. I think it's something to do with how when they were kittens they would paddle the mothers belly to help to produce milk.
Doing this as an adult is part of their inner instinct and is probably comforting.
My ginger cat becomes completely ecstatic paddling on furry things!

She left her mom somewhat early yet now you too have bonded and you're her mom. needless to say, she is fairly mushy with you and it feels like the two considered one of you like one yet another. do no longer take her decrease back now, she may be a stranger in her previous residing house. while you're apprehensive approximately her being bored in the process the day, merely purchase some risk-free cat toys and he or she would be able to entertain herself till you get residing house. She needs to consume 4 circumstances an afternoon at 8 weeks of age so because you're no longer there, flow away some dry kitten food out for her. Feed canned food interior the morning and night. take excitement on your cat for some years yet to come.

Mine are so funny on sheep skins. They droooool and look estatic. They go into that deep purring, and then once they have kneeded enough, they curl up on it and go to sleep - which is great if the rug happens to be in the middle of the room in everyone's way! lol
