kids in that age really has short attention span. they are impatient too in things that they do.
but if u see other signs of delayed development (eg speak ) its better to seek professional advice
early detection is helpful.
but if not, nothing to worry. dont fret too much. what u should do is encourage him to plays that will make him think- puzzles, colors, etc. if he dont want to finifh it. dont force him but use reward system if he finishes it. that way it u will motivate him.

Yes. Very normal. My 3 year old only has about a 20 minute span, anything after that she could care less. She will come back to what ever she was doing; but only for 20-30 minutes. Sometimes not even that long!

I would say it is more unusual for a 3 year old to have a long attention span then a short one. Nothing to worry about at this point.

Its not uncommon for a young child to have a short attention span. If you notice it getting worse or something you could always take him/her to the Dr and ask them if your child's attention span is normal for its age.

Yes, normal, but parents don't realise that a good attention span is something that is taught by parents. You ought to be encouraging your child to focus on one activity for a bit longer than they are accustomed to, and discouraging them from changing activities every few minutes. You can certainly help your child learn to have a longer attention span, and it will be to her benefit if you do.

Don't let people fill your head with ideas of ADD. I am a "retired" pre-school teacher. My three year old is more energetic than most and tires of activities easily. I may keep her at home until she is six instead of sending her to kindergarten at 5. Too many parents say their kids can focus for long periods of time because they can watch 3 hours of cartoons without moving a muscle. Enjoy your energetic toddler! I do mine.

Yes it is very normal. I suggest you buy or rent a book on your child's age/stage. This way you are always in tune with what your child is capable of doing around that stage. I found at one point I was expecting my oldest child to do more then she could do. Its easy to loose insight to their abilities/capabilities.

hope so, or I have an abnormal one of my own!!! They are learning something new everyday, every minute for that matter and their minds are racing and they are just enjoying being kids. If you believe in your heart that it is out of control or excessive your best bet is to always address issues with the doctor.

`try giving him seaweed with brown rice n vegies 4-6 times per week
`avoid sugar, yeast bread and pig meat
`bio-chemic cell salts from the health food store are excellent for everything!
`you could get his hair analysed, or get allergy tests or take him to a homeopath, these things will get to the bottom of the prob very quickly, as you dont want it getting any worse

You should see my daughter she is so impatient that I can't take her places that you have to wait for.(Docs mainly). It's normal they are so busy doing everything that they think they have time to do it all.
