It depends. Generally, if I was going to have any work done other than a simple cleaning, I would like to do it near my home. Sometimes a follow-up appointment is needed. Some procedures are done in stages, etc. Near your home you can get a much better idea of who the good and bad dentists are. Besides, few people consider visiting a dentist as a fun thing to do. Holidays are for fun. If your procedure involves subsequent pain and pain medications then it could ruin your whole trip. If for some bizarre reason, you simply must have dental work done in Turkey (a research paper, etc.) get an appointment before you go so you can arrange the rest of your holiday around it. Find out who the President uses and get an appointment with him/her.

Use a dentist near your home that friends recommend. It's your mouth, for goodness sake!

It depends on where you're going in Turkey. If you're going to Bodrum or the surrounding penninsula then I'd recommend that you call Karia Klinik in Bodrum & book an appointment with Hasan Utku Gul, he is excellent & when I lived there he had patients who lived in the UK & went to see him every six months! My own Mom whilst on holiday from Canada got some prosthetic dental work done by him, it was inexpensive & fast. Her dentist in Canada praised the quality of the work too. Can't get a better reference that that. The clinic phone number is 0252 316 3635, tell them Jackie sent you. Enjoy your holiday!
