I'm with you on that one. What really irritates me is when people on trains put their newspapers, or, even worse, their empty food cartons or coffee cups under their seats, and then leave them there when they get off the train! That's just disgusting!! I'm not quite sure why people need to eat burgers and stuff on the train in the first place. Or another one is where people are walking down the street drinking from a can, and stand the can on a wall when they have finished. As though by deliberately placing it somewhere it is okay to do. It's not!
I think the answer is that some people (pigs) are just plain lazy, and if a bin doesn't appear within 3 feet of them when they have some rubbish, they think it is okay to just drop it on the ground. When I was a kid, I was always taught to hang on to my rubbish until I found a bin. I don't think I could drop rubbish on the ground if I tried!

I completely agree with you. I also wish more people would recycle.
A lady I used to work with was waiting at a bus stop with her young son when another person in the queue threw their litter on the floor. My colleague's son who had been well brought up turned to his mum and said "mummy that lady's very naughty dropping her rubbish on the floor, isn't she?" Everyone in the queue heard and needless to say the litterer looked very embarrassed!

Its becuase they have no repsect for other people and other people's property. I get so annoyed when people throw things out of their cars, leave rubbish on the tubes and litter on the pavement. Would they do that in their own homes?? I think not. They are pigs and should be fined for doing that. They do that in Singapore and its really clean there.

I blame the parents. If you've been told from almost before you could walk to 'pick up that wrapper', 'let's find a bin', 'make sure you pick up your bits and pieces and we'll find a bin later', then we wouldn't have this problem. It's never too late to start, it's just a lot harder the later you start.

I know exactly what you mean - it's the same round here. Bits of paper, empty cigarette packets, chewing gum, dogs turds, old take-away food cartons, even bits of old cabbage leaves - and that's only in my front room!

Some people are just lazy gits and don't care about the welfare of the planet or of their local environment or how it affects others.

Its called upbringing. If you grow up in a pigsty then you need to create a pigsty all around you in order to be comfortable.
