Sometimes we wonder, "What did I do to deserve this?" or "Why did God have to do this to me?" Here is a wonderful explanation!
A daughter is telling her Mother how everything is going wrong, she's failing algebra, her boyfriend broke up with her and her best friend is moving away.
Meanwhile, her Mother is baking a cake and asks her daughter if she would like a snack, and the daughter says, "Absolutely Mom, I love your cake."
"Here, have some cooking oil," her Mother offers. "Yuck" says her daughter.
"How about a couple raw eggs?" "Gross, Mom!"
"Would you like some flour then? Or maybe baking soda?" "Mom, those are all yucky!"
To which the mother replies: "Yes, all those things seem bad all by themselves. But when they are put together in the right way, they make a wonderfully delicious cake!
God works the same way. Many times we wonder why He would let us go through such bad and difficult times. But God knows that when He puts these things all in His order, they always work for good! We just have to trust Him and, eventually, they will all make something wonderful!
God is crazy about you. He sends you flowers every spring and a sunrise every morning.
Whenever you want to talk, He'll listen. He can live anywhere in the universe, and He chose your heart.
Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we are here we might as well dance.
"Health is the greatest gift, contentment the greatest wealth, faithfulness the best relationship"

you can drink a protein shake:1 cup milk or yogurt,1 cup fruit,2 tablespoons soy protien powder,1 cup ice, drink twice a day and try to walk a little each day. also are you are you on any medication? My medication made me gain a lot of weight and i stayed depressed alot. the more weight i gained the more i stayed in bed and did nothing, Then they changed my medicine and i started drinking the protein shake and walking a little three times a week. My mood is better and i have lost 75 lbs. The stuff called st.johns wort is supposed to help mood if you are not on any meds. I hope you feel better soon.

you need to increase your stock of neurotransmitters. serotonin most likely since you are gaining weight. And you aren't getting what you need since you are still depressed. Most healthy food contains a certain level of tryptophan, which is a precursor of serotonin.
Be sure to eat your protein first with meals in the early parts of your day and include turkey as a source of protein since it has high levels of typtophan. If you are going to eat and get fat, you might as well make serotonin in the deal, and eating like it's Thanksgiving is a great way to do that.
Also, St. John's wort is an MAOI, which means that it will slow down the destruction of your serotonin.
5-HTP is what your body will make out of tryptophan in your brain and liver, this will happen better if you eat so you get fat, ie, eat enough to get fat, which means you got a high blood sugar from the food and trigggered to store that blood sugar as fat with an insulin response from your pancreas. If this happens, it drives the amino acids from your blood into your muscles, leaving the tryptophan in higher concentrations, meaning more can cross the blood-brain barrier leading to better 5-HTP synthesis. And... 5-HTP is a precursor to serotonin. certain vitamins and minerals and enzymes are needed for this. but if you eat real food, and not junk, you will have these in your diet. I am guessing since I don't remember perfectly, I think Magnesium, and B6 are needed. You can also buy 5-HTP. which I think is a cop out... you can do it, go ahead, it's not cheap. But you need to learn how to eat first, IMO.
