i would prefer arranged marriage. bcoz parents know what they should do to us. love marriage bring a lot of problems.

It is hard to say because alot of arranged marriages are better than the ones of just love. Oddly enough my mom and my husbands mom are best friends and we both had been going out with different people. They always tried to hook us up. Though he was in a long term relationship and I really didn't have steady boyfriends. After he broke up with his girlfriend because she cheated on him, our moms were hounding me to go after him. In any case I did and we have been together almost two and a half years and have been married for 3 months. I guess you can kinda of consider that arranged, but sometimes our parents can see things about others that we can't and it could work out for the best! So it really depends.

but if you happen to love the person that was arranged to be married to you, than it's called arrange marriage and love marriage, right?

There is no arranged marriage in my culture, so the whole idea of sharing my heart, body and soul with a stranger because of my family's say-so is revolting to me.
Love is the only reason for marriage, and sometimes even that is not enough.

You want to love a person & than u can arrange a marriage with them. You don't want to try to make yourself fall in love with someone u married but don't know nothing about. If u get an arrange marriage how do u know if that person is not crazy or a gambler & a perso nthat use drugs? What if he/she is not ur type of a person u want to be with for the rest of your life? Can u imagine sharing ur bank account, ur bed, ur life with someone u barely know & still trying to get to know them? Fall in love first k don't let the parents decide for u.

Oh please tell me they aren't still doing those arranged marriages. How could any parent choose a life time partner for their child. What makes them think they have the ability. It makes me furious when I see certain people from other countries where the men walk ahead of their women as if they are the kings and the women are walking behind trying to handle a toddler or two plus a baby and he is walking with his head held high as if he is someone special. Some of these men should spend some time with an American woman, we would have them washing dishes and helping with the children. It's barbaric to see such a sight. It turns my stomach.

At this day in age, I can't imagine someone preferring an arranged marriage. Meeting and falling in love with someone is far more romantic! Who'd want to spend the rest of their lives with someone they barely know?!

LOVE but of course, I hate these arranged marriages that happen on the sub continent as you dont see your bride until almost the start of the wedding and thats just nasty.
