Roughly about 225 grams, per cup. 113 grams per 1/2 cup. If you are using sticks, it would take two sticks from a pound of butter. If you don't have to be real accurate, and you know you have 500gm of butter, cut it into fourths, and use 2 of them. In most recipes the little bit extra won't hurt anything.

Correctly, a cup of butter is about 190 grams. It is a cup of water that weighs about 225 grams (more accurately 227). However, since butter is lighter than water, with a specific gravity of about 0.84, a cup of butter weighs 190 grams (227g x 0.84 = 190g).

Both are good for you, each fruit/vegetable has different vitamins. Thus as more variety, as better. Vegetables have generally less sugar than fruits.
