my boyfriend doesn't seem to like writing me an e-mail? I mean, he'd rather spend thousands of dollars on phone bill than write me a single word and let me know how his day is going. Is this a guy thing or should i read something (else) into it?

Is there any guy over here who is in a lond distance relationship who actually enjoys writing e-mails??

Maybe the guy doesnt like writing...or maybe he prefers if he hears your voice, better than sending you emails...Or maybe he can express himself more in speaking other than writing...In my opinion, tha guy is ok, dont look for someone else

First of all your boyfriend sure loves you alot willing to spend thousands of dollars just to speak to you.

Well to me the feeling of writing an e-mail to you does'n even come close to speaking to you.He can hear out your emotions and this really gives a sense of comfort and presence especially in long distance relationships.

And further more when writing an e-mail a mis-spelling of words or even a misplacement of fullstops can change the meaning of the sentence altogether.Definitely an easy medium for a misunderstanding to take place.

Your boyfriend must have figured this out and hey, someone's gotta pay the price for love in this world and i respect him for that.

Email probably seems to impersonal for him. Phone conversations are better, but you still miss the body language. Those are reasons you should not be in a long-distance relationship. I do admire your effort though. Just remember one of you will have to move at some point (preferably soon) for it to have the best chances of lasting. Good luck!

He struggles to compose letters due to his level of literacy and education. Punching numbers in and talking are easier. Do you not think you are become a bit of a whiner? Shut up and be thankful he calls, he could be getting sorted where he is instead of sitting on a phone all night xx (if he does not do that after the calls!)
