Alright, so I'm writing a paper, and you Yahoo! people are so smart... I wanted to bounce some ideas off of you.
So if you would be so kind, please argue with, or agree with and elaborate on the following claim:

The traits that caused Joan of Arc to become so powerful, overconfidence, femininity, and an overpowering belief in her God, were the same characteristics that led her to be captured and eventually killed.

That would be so helpful... thank you!

Overconfidence led to her being captured- not neccessarily killed. The fact that she was a woman definitely contributed to it- it pretty much defined her as a witch to her captors- thus dooming her. I'm not sure that Joan of Arc really was quite as religious as she was crazy- but it wasnt her religious beliefs that got her killed- she was Catholic and was killed by Catholics. She was killed because she was a woman who successfully led men into battle (1x) and this was thought to be impossible outside of sorcery and/or witchcraft. If she had been a man the result would have been different- he may have died in battle but wouldnt have been burned at the stake.

the relationship of Joan of Arc and Goddess worshipping develop right into a Murrayism. i'm upset the historic previous channel could use it. She develop right into a Christian. Very Christian. maximum Pagans right this moment could in all probability have found her extra like Falwell and Robertson than any Pagan discern...

i wouldnt say she was over-confident. she was self-confident, determined and a very challenging woman. a woman who brought a sleeping empire to a sudden push -start. she was the inner compulsion that drove the hopes of Frenchmen.

but with time, her determination was suppressed and ignored. and a lot had to do with corruption of the King of France. he was bribed by the Church of England who at that time would not let a WOMAN -- LEAD an army of a nation and God. she was tricked into signing by the Church of England and the clergymen of Burgundy. and she was burnt as a heretic. her death and capture were a plot of POLITICS & CORRUPTION -- of both England and France.

she was woman who created waves of revolution for other women and so did Boudica or Boudicea. 500 years later after Joan's death, the church recognised its fault and declared her a saint.

i really salute this woman's BRAVERY AND COURAGE to stand up in that age and lead men.

If you want more ask a specific question.

Joan was a pawn and she got scarficed like any pawn would get in a good game.

Society played the same game with Martin Luther, except his side won!-

Some say Joan of Arc may have been "Schizophrenic". Either way, she was captured because the english eventually beat the french...plain and simple.
