If U have an illicit relation with your neighbor's wife it is unlawful act ? If that guy takes action against you for adultery - your act becomes illegal. Hope you got the point.

I think unlawful is technically not a law. Like, you can't get a ticket for it. And illegal is, well, illegal.

At least, that's the way I've always taken it...
