the only thing is, i only know he's lying because i've been spying on him - so cant confront him - what should i do?

Is it really that fun to spy? I don't understand women sometimes. Not that I am countering your question, but some gfs of mine did that too and confronted me. Btw, I didn't cheat on them.
For an instance,I'd know that she would come to a party when there would be all my frds and feels uneasy and bored. So,I'd lie to say I'm going for a business party and she would spy and follow me and find out that I am lying and kick up a big fuss abt me lying.
But, people, can you see the bigger picture here?
Gal,if your bf's lies revolve around similar issues,I suggest you let it go. Unless he is "CHEATING", then you should really talk to him and let it go.

Burn baby burn. Once u decide whether u want to be in a relationship with a guy who has so much respect for you as a person that he lies to you (he thinks ur stupid) then move to the next step. Pick something that you know he lied about. Get him to start lying about it again and turn it over on him. Let him know to his face u know he lied to you. Bring up all the other things he lied to you about and tell him you are not putting up with his crap. There are plenty of other people out there that will treat u the way u deserve and u can't have a relationship if someone is lying to you. Forget him babe.

that sucks ~ it's a tough situation... you learn things because of snooping and you can't use it against him... sometimes when you go back, you feel like it would have been better had you not snooped, eh? i've been in the same boat...
anyways there really is no good reason for someone to lie to another that they "supposedly" care about. but think about what he's lying about and why he would be lying... i mean, if it's cheating it's obvious, and in that case, you should probably just leave him... but if it's something maybe he's ashamed of, maybe you should try to talk to him about it and let him know that you support him? either way, good luck to you.

Now hold on a minute all you people who are saying "leave him, he's trash".
You didn't say what you caught him doing. If its another girl, then sure... break up with him. But make good and sure he's actually 100% cheating on you. For instance, take my personal story:
I am a bartender, and I am dating a girl who I really loved at the time. I decided that I wanted to get he some nice jewlery for her birthday. I asked my second cousin Kelly (whom she'd never met) to help me because she was a manager at Zales (the jewlery store). I met her a few times at different locations because my girlfriend frequented that mall and I didn't want her to see me and ruin the surprise.
Needless to say, she followed me and saw me with her and saw me hug her goodbye. She went totally flippant and confronted me and broke it off with me. It took a miracle of my cousin to confront her and explain to her what was going on and show her the ring I had customized for her to realize that she screwed up.

Of course you can confront him! Be honest for cryin' out loud. You felt that something was suspicious, so you checked up on it & you know he lied. Let him bear the burden of deciet and then decide what to do. Do you want to stay with a liar because you feel like you are the one doing the decieving?

Do you need a liar, someone you cannot trust, in your life? Someone you have to spy on to get a true picture of them. If that's all you want for yourself then your plight is easy.
You just sit down and shut up and swallow all his lies like a sweet little girl.
On the other hand, If you feel that you are a person with value, dignity and self respect, then its even easier...simply tell him "no thanks" to his silly liars life.

oh boy...why would you want to be in a relationship where the guy lies and you have to spy on him. Does that sound like the type of relationship that would be a good one????
What part of this do you like?? Why would you compermise yourself with a creep who lies? Why even bother with him???
Tell the creep to move on....then you find someone who will be true and honest to you. It is better to be without a bf than to have one who lies.

well wot ever his done jst say youve been told by someone in strict confidence about where his been going or whatever his been doing. But on the other hand there shows theres no trust in ur relationship when you are going around spying on him.

Shut up, concentrate on keeping him. Stop the spying. It is your fault, give him what he wants More O anal outdoor and group stuff, anything he wants..or you face a lonely depressing future with this happening over and over again
