in the absence of understanding - the walls of mine and not-mine are there in human consciousness.
all that is available in the name of education is working for strengthening these walls. all of the education (psychology, economics, and sociology) suggests struggle and competition is required for progress. all other branches of education are serving the interests of struggle.
religions have also strengthened walls of mine and not-mine.
Education and Religion are at the root of shaping thoughts in minds of people. The struggle we see in society as stress, disintegrating families, loss of values, etc is the result of the underlying thought-processes in humans. Wars between nations and terrorism is its reflection at larger scale.
Now - when you say its answer lies in India - either you know the answer, or you think that India has potential for providing the answer! India had given Spirituality to the world. But Sprituality could not be socialized. Spirituality paths lead an individual to deny the world as an illusion - and seek individual salvation. Whatever some individuals might have achieved through this - it could not be socialized or generalized. It couldn't get translated into human-conduct, human-constitution, human-order, and human-society. The religions were made around the people who were respected by other people or they were built around mysterious concepts which didn't stand the test of logic and demanded unwavering faith. These didn't lead to common people becoming any wiser or humane. On the contrary, these only created more walls between people.
Terrorism is onslaught by humans aganist other humans. Now what needs to be done? Understanding Human and Understanding Humanity is needed for this. This understanding needs to become generalized through education. Only that has the potential of changing the thought-patterns. Once the thought-patterns change, the working and results will change automatically.

We need to get rid of religious terrorism, period. Guns don't kill people. We do. Religions are no different, it's unfortunate that they are often employed for propaganda cause. Radical Islam is a cancer which has spread dramatically in the last couple decades. To try and remove it would be akin to attempting to remove every single Christian in the US. It's an idea, they travel quickly, and so long as one will take up the call, numerous others will follow. Moderate Islam is not problematic, nor is any other faith. I demur from following them myself, but you can be certain any extreme is a bad thing. It's a pity people keep ripping on Islam, when you need look no further than Christianity for similar wrongdoings in the past.

Though the world has experienced lots of blood sheds, It hasn't suffered enough yet- it seems. Europeans fought thousands of wars, and they needed the bloodiest WWII to think for peace and to become liberals.
We shall pay more for terrorism, and when we reach a stage that we have paid whatever we had, then the reverse action will start.
It is beyond imagination, and will be the most horrible the world has experienced, but it is inevitable.

A preoccupied mind can not have solution to any problem.
Therefore it is necessary to UNLEARN WHAT YOU HAVE LEARNED so far.
Invite all the peace loving people to one plateform and discuss the things without a bias.
My point of view is that unless we are ready to hear others views we will never reach to a 'Win- Win' situation.
And how we can hear others ? Only when we have made our mind free of all learning.
You have already found an answer as you have mentioned. Then how can you expect others that they will be listened and that thier point of view will be acceptable ????
Therefore my dear brother you have to convince us as to whether your goal is to reach peace or to make us belive that ONLY YOU are right in your attempt to get peaceful solution to a problem which has been stated by you.

The best solution would be to get rid of religion. But since that's not possible, the second best alternative is to make religious hierarchies legally liable for the violence their religion causes. That way they'd give a clear message to their followers, and people's minds would change after a while.

The question should be "what can we do to get rid of religion?"
Please don't confuse Spirituality with religion.
P.S. The answer lies within....NOT in India!

the people who do all this rubbish stuff just want attention & continuation
same like a bussiness family wants its bussiness to run for generations.
to get rid of this just dont give them unnecessary attention.but also dont be soft on them but the job to punish them is done by law & they are doing just fine.We as citizens can keep cool ,be careful& strong &DONT GIVE THEM UNNECESSARY WAITAGEto them its a kind of cheap publicity for them.By doing this they will go weaker day by day & one day they will bow down.you keep cool we win you stretch it too much they win .so are you ready for the mind game.Best of luck& relax.good buy.
