A branded product will cost more than a generic product. This increased margin allows the company that owns the branded product to produce the product with better quality ingredients/components. However, this does not automatically mean that the product is better than a generic product. It just means that you pay for the brand which 'allegedly' should be better quality.

On the whole, a branded product will be better, but not necessarily better enough to pay the difference in price. It is interesting to know that larger stores that have their own brand, often have the products made for them by the 'big brand' companies, but because they don't have the brand name on the packaging, they charge less !!!

name brands and generics are the same thing, they have the same ingredient and everything. But name brands actually cost more simply because they're name brands. I always get the generics just cause they're cheaper and they work just as well.

brand is more expensive but generic is better because you can put your name on it.
