OK, I think it's best for guys to make the first move most of the time. However, some guys need encouragement. And if it looks like the guy will never make a move, then it is wonderful for the girl to make a move.
If a girl who I thought was ideal asked me out, and I was single, I would be thrilled. If a girl who I liked asked me out, and I was single, I would still be excited. Now, if I didn't like the girl, I might be flattered, but I would be at least a little uncomfortable. I guess I don't have neutral feelings about women. They can only be ideal, likeable, or unsuitable (perhaps to varying degrees). And likeable is not so far from ideal in my mind.
If there's a guy you like, and you aren't getting anywhere by just waiting, then you should ask him out. Do not confess your feelings for him immediately though. Give it some time. If he likes you, he will respond well to that approach. Good luck!

If a girl I wasn't at all attracted too hinted that she liked me, I would be both flattered and irritated. Flattered because she thinks I'm attractive and I like taht kind of attention, but irritated because I'm trying to attract girls I like, not her, and I would wonder why I'm not attracting the girls I want, and try to fix that.
About what I prefer in who makes the first move....it depends on the girl and the situation. If she's so cute and I like her, and she seems shy and nice, but makes the first move innocently, I MELT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But if she's some hardcore tomboy who forcefully gets in my face and makes the first move, I get bothered by that, like somethings wrong with her, maybe she's not looking for something real and just likes control.

I think it's sexy when a girl makes the first move ..but it isn't necessary.
I've been in the situation where a girl i knew liked me, but i wasnt really interested in her in that way.. I was flattered because honestly we all want to feel attractive, but i was also sure to let her know up front, I didnt share the same feelings, so she wouldnt think i was leading her on in anyway.

Well alot of times personally I like the girl to make the first move, so as to give me a definite sign that she's interested in me, and there's less damage control on the rejection tip (Hey don't like to stick my neck out there and get it broke LOL !!!) and as far as someone liking me but I don't have that kind of interest in her, I would take her aside and try to explain that I don't have those kind of feelings for her, but would always welcome her friendship, who knows something might change later on, or you just have another good friend for life.

There is nothing wrong for a girl to make the first move if she has the sign that the guy is interested.

I would give obvious hints I'm interested. If they make a move then that would be too good to be true. But if I'm unsure of who it is and such at that point I would take time to get to know you.

You can never read the mind of other person.
How do you know this.
You experience it for good or bad.
That's why they say experience is a great teacher
Few Guys fall for flattery
Flattery is the food for fools.
Fools learn from experience.
