This question is for Christians who consider Jesus as God.

Hindus do not say Rama and Krishna are seperate gods but the reincarnation of the one and only God. Just like Christians consider Jesus to be earthly reincarnation of God. So do you consider Hindus as Monotheist and believer in one God ?

Um, yeah, I'm not Hindu but I always thought there was the trinity of which you speak and then also a lot of other gods and goddesses... so...

I totally get what you are saying, though.

Edit... Members of an evil cult? Uh oh. Well, while we're on the subject...

You might want to look up the many things that Krishna did hundreds of years before Christ was around. Striking similarities.

Christians do not believe Jesus to be an earthly reincarnation of God- but an earthly manifestation- "In the Beginning was the word (Jesus) and the Word was with God and the Word was God.... and the Word became flesh and dwelt among us." Jesus (the Word), God the Father, and the Holy Spirit are separate persons but the same deity- YHWH. Hindus have a pantheistic nature to them which is totally foreign to Christianity. Jesus and the Father are not separate Gods neither are they reincarnations of the same God. They are distinct persons within the Trinity and are together with the Spirit the same God.

Seeing the answers of the christians above, and their narrow mind and lack of knowledge....I am proud to be a Hindu

Hindu philosophy is very simple... We believe in One God who is the supreme consciousness of the universe and beyond

God manifests himself first as a Trinity of creator, operator and destructor. This trinity creates many angels (whom u call gods) to run the universe.

since hinduism gives full liberty to its folowers to worship god in any form as per their mind set...hindus worship God as Father, as Mother, as beloved, as friend or as a king. That does not make us a polytheist.... though i dont mind being called a polytheist for obvious reasons

Hindu philosophy goes deep into the mysteries of manifestation, of Universe, life, death and beyond....But these philosophies (upanishadas and Gita)...are beyond the reach of narrow minded people.

As a Hindu I have been taught to respect all faiths and prophets..Does your religions tells so ?

i'm a muslim... but i'm a religious studies major. i think hindu people should be doing more to correct the information that is out there. i've been to a few hindu temples and all have told me that they believe in one God. i anyone who has truly looked at hindu doctrines or at their places of worship would know that they are monotheists

peace be on you

no, Hindus aren't monotheist because they believe in many gods! Rama and Krishna are only two of many.
