Really, if you are in that big of a hurry, just go ahead and cross on over.

All part of the story. It lends a sense of urgency. The infidels must be converted NOW.

Plus I think Jolee Bindo said it best when he said that everyone believe the age they live in to be the most important, the challenges they face to be the most grave, the most dramatic. I suspect there is something of that behind all the "left behind" and other armagedon stuff.

Why are extreme Makeover: homestead version households captivated with the eventual demolition of their properties and the arriving of Ty Pennington? besides, God's time isn't it sluggish. I could desire to think of that must be glaring. he's larger than you, in spite of each little thing, and tons older. Edit: Jesus' followers have been loopy sufficient to die for their testimony that they observed Jesus resurrected. The disciples have been hiding in the back of locked doorways before Jesus printed Himself to them as being alive. How do 11 adult men bypass from cowards hoping to stay away from the destiny of their grasp to evangelists arranged to go through for that comparable grasp in six weeks' time? and you may't call them delusional. not the skeptic Thomas, or such adult men of the sea as Peter and Andrew. And what of the conversion of Jesus' brothers, who theory He became nuts? Or the conversion of Saul of Tarsus, the enemy of Christianity? If Muhammed acknowledged to me, i could be confident i became delusional and that i could by no potential replace right into a Muslim. yet Saul, a noticeably knowledgeable and clever guy, became immediately confident that he became seeing the resurrected Christ. How do you clarify that away? no person, not even Jesus' enemies, have EVER denied that His tomb became stumbled on empty that morning. So if the disciples did not come and scouse borrow the physique, and people who buried Him genuinely did not misplace Him, we are able to easily end that He did certainly upward thrust from the ineffective. No experience in international historic previous has been so conclusively shown by way of fact the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

You referring partially to my question? I'm not a Christian. I'm an atheist. I just thought that since we see so many obviously invalid dates on here, it would be interesting to see how many such dates were at least somewhat accepted in the past.

I am a Protestant Christian and I agree with what someone else said. I'm not obsessed but excited! I feel like I am right with God and try to live my life for Him, so I have nothing to be worried about.

I'm not obsessed, just not dumb either. When a book that is thousands of years old is accurately describing what is going on daily all around me as the "end of the world" common sense tells me it might be a smart thing to get my life in order.

When you say end of the world do you mean the end of humanity? Chances are the planet will survive and evolution will replenish life on earth.

Its one of the few hobbies not considered sinful.
Wipping themselves is another, as long as it isnt in a kinky way.
Crying, preaching the bible, being a pompas a55hole, speaking in toungues, making up crap about the occult, touching children....... with the word of god of course.

Self crucifixion was dropped as you just cant get that last nail in!

any more? Write in and let me know your faviourite non sinful past time. I betcha I can find sin in it! (prayer doesnt count, satanists pray too.)

Because for the most part it is something they are welcoming and waiting for with anticipation. Their focus isn't here, it's on some place which may or may not even exist after this life is over. Their focus is always on their heaven and getting there rather than life here on earth.

Beats me!

I agree with you and I'm a believer in God and Jesus!

Maybe they're just lazy and think all they'll do is float and commune with God.

I tend to think God's going to hand us a broom and say "clean up eternity" and I have no problem with that, myself!
