I am a 20 year old female, 5'4'', 128 pounds... Just a general description. Ok well here is my question and if anyone has any ideas or opinions please be sure to share it with me:
I have been having alot of pains on my left upper side (my heart are and around to the back sortve) especially every time I breath in really deep. And my whole left arm just feels sore, not shooting pains or anything it just feels sore as well as my shoulder. Anyone have any ideas on what it could be? I dont want to go to the E.R just because of it especially if it is most likely not a big deal.
And one more problem, I have a lump underneith my right arm, its a lump on my arm pit and it hurts not really bad but I notice it alot especially when I hold my arm really close to my side..
Let me know what you all think, thanks.

This is not the first time ive had pain on my left side, and the shoulder and arm problems, the last time was 10x worse than this time but I feel it getting to the point were it hurts especially when I laugh or cough or breath in really deep. When I went to the E.R the last time they couldnt find anything wrong so I dont know and also im starting to not be hungry, like i have to force myself to eat.

Hmm, well ER staff work "FOR YOU". If you are not well and worried then I say go. Sometimes it takes more symptoms to be able to tell what is wrong if they don't know on the first visit. All chest pain should be checked out each time. Get the armpit thing checked at the same time. Don't feel bad about going; just go silly girl!

And don't listen to that twit. Your weight is fine.

You have to get to the E.R. right away or make an appointment ASAP with your doctor!!!!! A close friend of mine had a lump under her arm in the same region as you describe and it was not good!!!!!! Don't put it off any longer!!! If they try to tell you that you are fine, ask for another doctor; go to an other facility; insist they take more tests; say or do whatever it takes for them to REALLY look at you and take you seriously!!!!! I'm telling you, any lump is NOT good!! PLEASE go see a professional about this right away!!! Good luck!!!

the lump is a problem which you might have to get it checked. If it turns out fine then two small things might change this pain you have. one change your sitting position (sit a little more upright) and second for the shooting pain in the hand check when this pain happens does it pain in your ring finger or the middle finger if it does then keep your hand in the position as one keeps when one has a fracture in the hand. a sling might help. also if you can keep it sleep on your back and keep your hand in the same position. i also have same trouble from time to time and these exercise really help. oh also when you have pain while you breathe a simple solution is breath in as much as you can hold your breath and gently massage or box the area on your chest where it hurts. it really helps if you have the same problem which i have. but definitely get the lump checked.

It may be nothing more than a bruised rib, but you will never know unless you get yourself checked out. Don't play around with your health. You are worth more than the effort that it takes to go to the doctor. Sometimes the healthiest of people regretted for the rest of their lives neglecting the one little so-called trivial thing that was bothering them and it changed their whole lives and it's too late to go back now and change but you are young and have your whole life ahead of you. Don't push it off because the doctor may think it's not a big deal. That's his job.
Hopefully it won't be a big deal and whatever it is will be taken care of and you will be so happy that you took the time to care for yourself.
Good luck.

No ifs no buts, get yourself to the docs pronto. A lump should be yelling alarm bells at you! Get to the hospital NOW!!! It's not worth it! It could be nothing but if it is something, the sooner you get it looked at the sooner you can get it sorted successfully!

Well, you're about 10 lbs overweight. Think about that and the other stuff will go away.
