The Bible says she married Joseph and the did not "know" her until after the birth of Jesus. In the Biblical sense of the word that means have sexual relations with her.

Also, the Bible says Jesus had brothers and sisters.

How could she have remained a virgin?

Well it is obvious she did not remain a virgin after the birth of Christ. The bible is full of miracles and if you believe that God an all powerful being exists then impregnating a virgin is one of the smaller miracles when compared to raising the dead or curing the blind not to mention parting the red sea....It is all a matter of faith.

How was James, “the brother of the Lord,” (Matt. 13:55, Acts 15:13-21, 1 Cor. 15:7, Gal. 1:19) related to Jesus. All believers agree he was related, but no one knows exactly how.

The possibilities are that James was:

1. A full brother of Jesus, another Son of God born of the Blessed Virgin Mary. No one to my knowledge accepts that God had another child by the Blessed Virgin Mary.

2. A half-brother of Jesus, a younger son of Joseph and the Blessed Virgin Mary. Some Christians believe this possibility but most Christians including those who are Catholic and Eastern Orthodox believe that Mary remained a virgin for her entire life.

3. A stepbrother of Jesus, a son of Joseph and a previous wife. Many Christians believe that Joseph had a least one previous marriage that resulted in children.

4. A stepbrother of Jesus, an adopted son of Joseph and the Blessed Virgin Mary. When parents died, relatives frequently took their children in and raised them as thier own. An adopted orphaned boy would be considered the brother of Jesus.

5. A cousin of Jesus. The Aramaic language has no word for cousin. Aramaic frequently uses the word “aha,” which we translate into Greek as “adelphos” or English as brother, for cousin.

6. A comrade of Jesus. This is a remote possibility. Greek uses adelphos the same as English does in “a band of brothers.”

Possibilities 1 and 2 obviously go against Catholic beliefs.

The Catholic Church prefers possibility 5 but 3, 4 and 6 would not go against doctrine.

With love in Christ.

In the Bible, brother is often used for cousin. Neither Hebrew or Aramaic has a word for cousin.

When Jesus was found in the Temple at age twelve, there is no mention of other brothers or sisters.

Also, when he was dying, Jesus entrusted his mother to the apostle John. Why would he have needed to do this if he had brother and sisters?

Mary was a virgin when she concieved the Christ by the overshadowing of the Holy Spirit. She was a virgin when she gave birth to the Christ. She later had children with Joseph, One or two of which is spoken of in the Bible.

Because Catholics are told that, "This is what you are to believe". There are many mistakes in the bible but we are not supposed to talk about them. God created the world in 6 days and rested on the 7th. Since when does an almighty god get tired? The story of Noah & the Arc is the word of man pretending to be god. Two of every species of living things on this planet weighs at least 50 million tons. Noah would have needed an Arc a mile long and a few lifetimes to gather them. The primary job of religion is to appease people with dead-end futures, who are promised , "A piece of pie in the sky when you die".

Not by BiBle ,
BUT by Quran Theory,
Marry or Hazrat Marriyam is a virgin .
By Quran, Marry never married anyone,.
& She was virgin...
BUT
where, there GOD can create Adam & Eve with out any seed, Cant he create seed in the womb of Marry with out any "that" thing happening....??

It was all part of God showing his power & miracle that he can do anything....
So people believe him as the real GOD
So he just "CREATED" NOT "ENTERED" a seed in Marry's womb..
& let her give birth to his child....

So as She never had sex with anyone, she is virgin.....

The word "until" does not mean what you think it means. If I say "I will love you until I die" it does not mean that I will hate you after I die, does it?

The word for "brothers" in the Bible is the same as the word for "cousins" and "close friends".
