Did you know that in the old tree hugger religions (the mother earth stuff) virtues were assigned by sex? And guess what? They didn't have exactly the same virtues we think of.
The females were assigned the virtues of kindness and fidelity. The males were assigned freedom and bravery. Kind of hard to think of freedom as a virtue? We think of it as a condition.
Question is: Do people really want to go back to the pagan stuff where the virtues are separated by sex? In Bibical Christianity the virtues are spiritually assigned without regard to gender; although some women's rights types claim that the sexual division of virtues is a Christian production. What do you think?
All kidding aside. So many of us on the religion and spirituality side know it all. This of course makes for terrible hatred and deep space ego trips. As for asking questions, that is very very hard when you know all the answers. I am sure we do not want to be put in the place of making other people look bad by asking rhetorical questions.
I am going to attempt to set aside my deep knowledge and come up with some new and challenging questions for this category. Won't you join me in this venture of faith. Set aside your perfect understanding and address the masses. But right now I am going to bed. Bye.

In an effort to establish a common ground that christians can agree on and work out of in an effort to present a more loving and realistic mode of witness iasked 'IaRE THERE SOME THINGS CHRISTIANS CAN AGREE ON". I got only one thing that we all think we can agree on. Sad very sad. This medium has potential. I see seekers asking questions in a defensive mode who could be wooed and instead we react in a manner I believe would be offensive in nature to Jesus. Not always but enough times that it pretty much drowns out the message of love. We try to argue our point instead of just sharing information in a giving way. Only people who are worried about the strength of their assailant act defensive, and if anyone should be confident in the strength of their leader it is christians. We can share and be loving at the same time as some do I site snuggles as an example.

Sorry, I don't ask questions but my answers are original unless a imbecile ask something totally mentally unstable. You are so right about the circle of hate but unfortunately it won't stop until Jesus comes. Gurl, you know there will be peace and joy!

Well, if you're still insisting with the 'circle of hate' story, I'm afraid it's you who doesn't have anything original to say...
For the nth. time, (if you're a believer). It's YOUR RELIGION what I hate. Not you. I do not hate you. Even more, if I hated you, I wouldn't care you're being brainwashed by a religion. I'd let you rot. But since I do not hate people for their religion, I'm trying to say what I think about the beliefs people have.
Then again, if you're not a believer, then forget about the paragraph before. I don't hate you anyway, of course. But I don't hate your take on religion, either.

I can't find happiness in a heaven. Heaven is supposed to blissful and beautiful, but I find no bliss and beauty in knowing that Billions upon Billions of souls that I walked the Earth with are being eternally tortured and burned in "Hell." Why "God" would create either heaven or hell is beyond me. If he essentially wanted you to be in heaven or hell, wouldn't he have just created you there in the first place instead of creating you here on Earth? Seems like an ill-effective way to work to me.
""Religion is an insult to human dignity, without it you would have Good people doing Good things and Evil people doing Evil things.....for Good people to do Evil things, it takes religion.""--Steven Weinberg--
You obviously are one of the "Good People." You think rationally and freely and you don't conform to the influences of others. You naturally are prone to doing good, its how the human species will survive. Religion causes many problems with the world, especially since there's not 1 uniformed Religion. Most are doing harm to another b/c they feel threatened about the other's religion becoming too strong and powerful.
You obviously have come to understand the earth, solar system, and are learning the trades of the universe. You have an understanding of these things. The one's that do not somewhat fear its vast expansive knowledge to obtain. They look at it as blashphemy because they can't even begin to understand it. Simple minds they have.
Religion is like a dictatorship, follow the dic's rules or be outcast, shot, or tortured. "Believe or Be Burned" Um... I'll take burned please. I find no bliss in "heaven" knowing that billions upon billions of souls that I've walked the Earth with are being tortured and burned in "hell." If you can find happiness in "heaven" you're an immoral person, where's your empathy? I'll conclude with a quote from Carl Sagan that should help others accept the way things are in this world.
"It is far better to grasp the universe as it really is, than to persist in Delusion; however satisfying and reassuring" it may seem. --Carl Sagan--
So these "religious" people aren't even thinking about global warming and don't have a natural respect for the earth and it's survival, they just hope and pray to be saved.
