it would seem at first glance free will, but in physics, religion, and neurology---predestination seems like the answer

((((heisenburg uncertainty principle doesnt say the future is up for grabs, it just says we cant tell what it holds))))

how you could say both----i dont know

History will recount all free will. Is there predestination? Not right now. What someone has decided will change the future. But its not the future until the decision is made. What I type right now has not been predestined.
Monkeys.
Did anyone know I would type that? No. But looking back we all know what I typed.

Welcome to the future. Wait, I might type somthing else...

I also believe that it's both free will and predestination. God gives mankind free will. God doesn't want to control our every move like a robot or puppet. He lets us choose what we will or won't do. God knows what the right and wrong things are but He leaves the decision up to us. God may well know ahead of time what we may choose to do but He doesn't force us to make that choice. If someone asks another person (sane with some education) what two plus two are the person asking the question knows the person giving the answer is going to say four. He knew that they would answer that way but he didn't FORCE him to answer that way. Kind of like when you go to vote. God may know who you are going to vote for but He didn't force you to vote that way. He knew but let you make the decision.

a bit of both. If you believe in reincarnation.
before you reincarnate you set goals(predestination) that you want to accomplish while back on Earth.
The trying to met these goals creates different paths for you to follow (Free will) as to which one you will chose . but if you realize that you have made a wrong choose then you can change to a different path that you think is the right one.

Your free will helps you make the decisions on the path predestined for you. No matter which path you take, you'll somehow manage to end up at the same destination.

Free will is the winner!

God created all people with "free will". God is "pure love"....but God has created everyone with freewill. The destination is inevitable.....however it could take a great deal of time to get to the destination....because of "freewill".

It's a complex situation.....but as far as freewill is concerned...we all have it....and time is of no matter to the Higher Power. God has all the time in the world to wait.....carry on as you will.

Patience, Mercy, Love, Tolerance.....the Higher Power has it all.

If there is predestination, and I end up in hell, doesn't that make it God's fault and not mine?

Due to that, I'd say that to believe in Christianity implies a belief in free will.

Both.

God knows whom He has chosen. He knows the choices that we will make. It is God's will that we come to Him. No one can become a Christian and get into heaven without His approval.

We still have freewill to make those choices, except for the fact that God already knows what path we will choose. He knows the outcome of our freewill choices in life, in advance. Like I said, God knows His sheep. It is through His mercy that believers are led to Him. Do we really have freewill then? Absolutely we are free to make choices about our life every second of everyday.
It is through God's mercy that He leads us to believe in Him as we are chosen by Him. We still make the conscious decision to do so as far as we're concerned.

God gave us free will because He wanted us to serve Him genuinely. He didn't want a bunch of robots who worshipped him.

Predestination... Well, I believe that God has a plan for all of us. He knows everything and He also has the perfect plan for every single one of us. However, it is up to us whether or not we want to follow God's plan. See, it falls again under the topic of free will. We can choose to live a certain way and live totally against God's plan or we can choose to live according to his will and therefore live the life that God wants us to live.

I believe that there is free will, but that the choices we will make we've already made. If that makes any sense. Basically I'm saying that time is set. Some will choose to say that if time is set why bother, but you should bother cause you don't know what it's set to. But I don't think about this too often, cause it makes my head hurt.

There is both. god in his wisdom, told in the bible in job, that god put marks on the hand of man so that all man can know of his works. palmistry. yes, we have a free will. it is written. and it is so.do with it as you may.I like what is also in Romans that it is a sin to doubt. a sin is anything that stands between you and the spirit of god that is within you. god loves you.except the spirit now to be with you. with faith. it will then be in you and thru you.work its ways in the world. of the prince of the power of the air..knock and the door will be opened unto you.
