Why do guys go to the trouble of asking for your # if they're not gonna call? And this wasnt in a bar or at a party so he wasnt drunk at the time he asked for it and forgot about it the next day or anything like that..and he seemed really interested, I dont understand it..maybe you guys can help me figure this one out. And thanks in advance for your advice.

He might have lost the number..ever think about that?
Or, it might all be a game to him. All guys DO NOT act this way. So please dont lump all of us into this category.
I for one, will tell you that as a guy...if a girl gave me her number, Even if I was not interested in her I would feel that it would be extremely impolite not to call her and at least let her know that I did not feel we were a good match.

Most guys will give out a number to Impress other people that they would be forward enough to make someone anticipate an event. See.. the process of your giving him a number was the key.

The best is to have you ask for his number, and perhaps you will call. That way, you find out immediately if they are living with someone, married, or really interested enough to persue you in a relationship.. or whatever it is that YOU wanted.

Be the one that they adore...Don't let yourself be exposed too quickly...you may want him to call, but the ONLY way he will be interested is if you INSTEAD ask him for his number, because you don't like to give your number out.
THAT ALWAYS WORKS!

Becuase they are drunk and they forget they even asked. Also they could of been drunk and they really do not know what they are doing. I think the wrong part of it all is where you are going to meet people. I do not think the bar is the right place. You are not see people honestly. They are just wanting sex and stuff. That is what happens at the bar.

Most people today are clueless and thoughtless. It happens in business and in love all the time. Girls do, it too. Half of the time numbers are fake, and if they're real they just want to see you do calling to feel good. The world is full of selfish and inconsiderate people.

How long has it been since you gave him your number? Give it at least 2 days to a week even. If he doesn't call just forget about him. I don't know why they do it, they are guys!

He maybe too nervous. He may have lost your number and be kicking himself. Of course there are some guys that are just players, possibly married or have girls that just like to flirt and see if they can get numbers.

We lose numbers, we wait a week or so, or we find someone better. Just go fishing everywhere, don't get caught up with just a tug of the line.

The most likely possibilities are that he's playing the "waiting so I don't seem desperate" game, he lost it, he found something better, or he wanted your number just to know that he could have you.
