There is a blurb about Jesus in the writings of Josephus. This record was written in the LATE first century. Ignoring the fact that even many Christian scholars think it is a fraud, Josephus could not possibly have been a witness to the purported events of Jesus. Whatever he wrote about Jesus (if anything) he must have obtained from Christian sources. Note that Josephus is touted as a "historian" by Christian propogandists who conveniently fail to mention all the crazy stuff Josephus reported as fact like flying chariots and such. By modern standards, Josephus was a tabloid journalist, not a historian.
Tertullian came even later still when Christianity was already a well established religion.
Every theory about Jesus is mired in dilemas and contradictions save one; he never actually existed but was instead a composite myth. This position is completely consistent with both our own observations of reality, and all known historical records, and there is positive reason to assert it; namely, the impossibly conicidental similarity to stories about Jesus to pre-existing myths.
For example, when Jesus told his disciples to cast the net on the other side and they realed in 153 fish. This story predates the 1st century and originates in Pythagoreanism (which is also original source of the 'jesus fish' symbol known as the Vescica Pisces). The story about Jesus raising Lazarus from the dead exactly parallels the story of Horus raising Osirus from the dead (Osiris is even phonetically the same as Lazarus in Hebrew). This story is well documented in pyramid texts predating Christianity by over 1000 years.

The question you raise leaves a little to be desired. Are you in grade school? Nazareth is a TOWN and is mentioned in the Bible. "Him existed, any poofs" ..whoa! No, Jesus is not fake. Talk to a minister, read the Bible and see for yourself.

All you need is faith. But if you'd like proof, I remember a documentary I watched a while ago about a man who found a box (I forgot the material it was made out of) that said something like "Jesus, son of Joseph, brother of John." I don't remember the dating or anything. But if you want to look more into it, I guess you could always google it.

A Jewish troublemaker named Jesus was given a passing mention in one or two historical texts other than the Bible. That is about the sum of christian proof. I would like to point out tht Jesus was a common Jewish name; the man mentioned could have been anyone.

Well here’s some info… Jesus was not from Nazarene but he was a Naassene. “Naas” means “serpent”. Naassenes were gnostics (serpent worshipers). Naassene became => Nazarene. Jesus was a “serpent”, see John 3:14.
Yes I think he existed and there’s no reason why a man such as Jesus should not have existed. However a Jesus who performed miracles and physically resurrected from the dead is Roman mythos to be sure.

i'm pretty sure there is some sort of substantial proof that someone named jesus existed around or in the area of Naareth at the time he supposedly did. Whether he is the mesiah or not well that's a whole different question.
