Wow! I did NOT enjoy that site, at all! I do NOT think that site is representative in any way with regards to immigration in Canada. I live in Canada and, as a matter of fact, the job market in Canada right now is fantastic and anyone who is unemployed in Canada is unemployed because they are disabled or because they don't want to work. I was born in the USA but I have lived here for 41 years and I don't think I have ever seen such a good job market in Canada before recently. Canada is a good place for immigrants because Canada is in need of immigrants to help fill jobs NOW. Northern Alberta is in a huge boom right now with the oil industry and jobs are there for the taking and wages are fantastic! Canada does not have a huge problem with illegal immigration because legal immigration is fairly easy to access. We are a much younger country than the USA, but our population is aging and we need young people to come in and fill jobs. You should NOT be posting such a terrible site on this forum. I hope people will realize that it is NOT realistic of the immigration situation in Canada!

Immigration Watch is obviously a right-wing organization. The tell-tale sign was its contempt for the CBC, which is a far more fair news outlet than the commercial ones.

Of course all countries have certain problems, but we don't need the scare tactics of IWC to tell us anything. I wouldn't trust everything they say. It's been my personal experience to have observed immigrants as generally good citizens, employees as people.
