No, and I don't see how either liberality nor tolerance (as they are referred to these days) are something we should strive for.
In their original meanings, perhaps, but not the politically correct terminology of today.

Depends. It is my humble opinion that the religion which features the greater amount of ceremony in its practice tends to be the more conservative (or the least liberal). With that as a jumping off point, the ceremonial and practical customs of Judaism here in the US, as an example, are likely to be followed less strictly than they are in Israel. Same with the practice in the US of Catholicism as compared to, say, Catholic worship in Italy. Protestantism in the US has the least amount of ceremony involved - not counting the snake handling charismatic churches of the South, compared to the other two religions you mentioned. So, in order from most conservative to most liberal, as pertains to the US, I’d rank them: 1) Catholicism 2) Judaism 3) Protestantism. Following the same theme and applying the same standards as previously stated, the least liberal and tolerant of the major religions has got to be the Islamic faith.

Not necessarily. Depends on the branch of Judaism, and the particular sect of Protestantism. In general, I consider them no more tolerant than Catholicism.

Judaism is more tolerant then pre-20th century Catholicism, but true religious Judaism isn't liberal, or especially tolerant compared to modern Catholicism.

liberal? not nessicarly
as for tolerant also not nessicarly I have seen intolerant Jews and some would call me one as well. And one just has to look at British history to see the intolerance protestantism can have.
as for Catholicism you are right in pointing out their intolerance. Its blatantly evident from the millions that were murdered by the Catholic Church

Catholicism seems to me to be pretty darn tolerant of a lot of things, actually. Perhaps not societally, but spiritually.
I'd definitely pick Judaism out of the three for most tolerant, on both levels.

the religion itself is maximum heavily allied with the different form of Judaism, of direction. it form of feels to me that Judaism's concentration in any branch is (a) on utilized ethics in on a daily basis residing, and (b) the function of a Jew interior the international. Liberal Christian Protestantism of direction is, like different Christian denominations, centred on Christ. Now that concentration may be diverse - liberal protestants tend to be centred much less on soteriology and extra on utilized ethics as taught interior the Sermon on the Mount and the parables Jesus advised - even nonetheless it remains achieved in the process the patina of Christology. it incredibly is sufficient to make for a huge distinction. no longer so diverse, of direction, that it prevents liberal Christians and Reform Jews from making alliances - they do, frequently and frequently, on the two charitable, environmental, and political projects. however an analogous conclusions they draw are approached from 2 incredibly divergent beginning place factors. :-)

Catholics don't care about being "liberal" or "tolerant" or any other Politically Correct terms. Catholics only care about doing what is right.
