Yes it does. Vegetables and starches go through your system quickly, but large slabs of meat will "rot" in your digestive system. Not saying you shouldn't eat them, they just stay in your system a lot longer. Plus steak = good.

I don't think "rot" is the correct term. If it's left on the table for days it will rot, but starting with the chewing process, a steak is subjected to acids and enzymes designed to break down and digest it.
So I agree that beef stays in your system longer, but it's denser meat than fish or chicken, so the digestive process takes longer.
Unless you suffer from constipation or some other intestinal malady, I don't think you should worry much about food rotting in your stomach.

It is digested just like other food by the acids in your stomach. Don't let anyone feed you a bunch of garbage. Use your brain, 5 billion people on earch 2/3 eat meat.

Not a chance - the stomach is like one big acid pit. Even rare steak will eventually be digested. Nothing will remain to "rot" in your stomach. Mind you, if you eat fruit AFTER a steak, the fruit will take longer to digest and ferment a little (causing a bit of bloating & possibly gas but not rot). Enjoy your food & chew slowly!

An animal digests best what is similar to it---in other words, meat much better than plant matter.
Nothing fails to digest, as long as it is food, while it is in the stomach. (It may not fully be digested before it passes into the intestines, but there it undergoes further digestion.)

The human body actually produces bacteria to help digest foods, newborns are often given a vitamin K supplement to help in the production of this bacteria. The digestive track of humans is one treacherous road, I did a dissection of a 66yo man who still had undigested meat in several "pockets" along his digestive track, rotting meat. The dissection shows all, and that's a fact. PS the man died of a tennis ball sized aneurysm in his descending aorta.

Some foods take longer to digest, and if you aren't getting enough fibre in your diet, they can rot in your gut. If you make sure you flush out your system (not wanting to get too graphic) with jacket potatoes, all-bran, lots of fruit, and if all else fails, prune juice, that should carry out the offending material.
