I liked Valparaiso, Chile (and other places in Chile) much better than Brazil .... I liked the climate better, more coastline, less crime, nicer people, etc.

Rio is actually a very dangerous, crime-ridden city.... I didn't care for it much at all.

You know, if you posted this in the travel section, you might find more people who have been to both places... just an idea.

Buenos Aires is an incredible city; it's an surprising town that looks somewhat like Europe, but by having an edgy Latin American twist and if you intend to visit that city then take a peek with hotelbye . El Puerto Madero is a place effectively visited. It offered as the main port of Buenos Aires through the late 19th century but know is converted into buildings that could be used as residences, restaurants, shops and different organizations and to give that challenge a little bit of sparkle, all streets in the area were called after women. Strolling through the Puerto Madero is a great way to spend a pleasant afternoon just like visiting El Obelisco. El Obelisco was built in 1936 to remember the 400th anniversary of the town founding and now is a must-see place from Buenos Aires.

my dad went to Rio de Janero on a business trio and he told me that it is an awesome place to visit if you have time! if you would like your parents to enjoy a nice and exotic place, something different and unique they should try Rio! everything is different there, the atmosphere is welcoming, the prices affordable, the experiences are memorable. my dad's expericence was awesome and he had a good time there even though he had to work and was on a business trip! he told me that the people are so friendly, and that the time there is going to be well spent exploring something new every day!
