A light breakfast and a full packed dinner. If u give them to much they will get sick. But it is ok if u give them little snacks.

Depends on the dogs age, size, work condition, etc etc. 2-3 meals as a rule. I know MANY backyard owners that only feed once a day and their dogs do fine, but I'd hate to only be able to eat once a day!!!!
On my ranch, where we had sevral outside dogs, we used an automatic feeder, that basically offered free-food-by-choice of dry food. So it was one meal - 24/7. For those ranch dogs that worked the best, and they rarely overate.

A small puppy should have several small meals a day. As the puppy gets older and more mature you should cut it down to 2 feedings a day but more food at those two meals.

I always kept dry food out for my grown dogs but only fed them canned food once a day.

BTW: They should have water available to them all the time.

My vet told me twice a day. Depending on the size of the dog. Any pet store or vet can suggest serving sizes. Small dogs I would 1 cup, 2x's a day. Medium dog - 1.5-2 cups, 2x's a day. And so forth. I feed my 60 lb. lab like 2-4 cups per day. Although sometimes she wants more. It is kind of funny. The dog will let you know...trust me!

As long as it's more than one....you should be fine. Feeding one meal a day puts your dog at risk for bloat. Which is when the stomach twists, causing the stomach to fill with air with no way out. More dogs than not, die from this. Large breeds, especially Boxers are more at risk, but it can happen with small dogs too.

2 or 3 depending on the size of the dog. An older dog or younger may need more but these are the norm.

it depends on what size the dog is. my dog was medium size (about 50cm high) and we fed him a cup of biscuits in the morning and we filled his bowl up with dog food and pasta at night. give the dog a bit less than what the suggestion is on the back of the tin and add some pasta or rice or something
