If I tell someone today that I resurrected someone ppl will ask me to prove that person died, and prove I reseurrected that person. But if I ask a Christian to prove to me that God exists, they will ask me to disprove it? Strange?
Also, most of the proofs Christians have are from the bible. Other religions have proofs in their scriptures which prove their God(s) existed. What make the bible more reliable? Have any Christians on this site done independant research on the origin of the bible, and what used to be written in it and who decided what is to be in the bible?

Yes I have. For many years.

Now here is a question for you. Why do you care? All that I have witnessed on this board is the Atheist trying to "convert" (for lack of a better word) Christians. Why does it matter to you?

The first part of your question: "If I tell someone today that I resurrected someone ppl will ask me to prove that person died, and prove I reseurrected that person." is interesting because it shows that at it's initial stages, each religion was probably met with a lot of doubt, as each religion has made radical claims that defy lots of common beliefs about the world. Religions and cults have come and gone on this earth but yet some remain. People, as you said, are stubborn, so it would take a lot to convince the first believers in a religion; that is why I think there must be something intriguing about every religion that has survived up until today.

As for your second statement, though I am a Christian, I totally agree. The Bible is no way to convince someone that Christianity is true if they don't believe in the Bible--- it's like using what you're trying to prove to make a proof.

yes I have done in depth study. I did it so I could explain scripture better as in the light of the custom when it was written. The latest is the discovery that I found was that there is in fact an "in stone" record of the exodus, in an egyption type writting I think a percursor to the more common heiroglephs.

I think here are two things in the Bible which were from God that no one knew at the time it was written. Perhaps they will answer your question.

1. Jews were instructed to do circumscision on the 8th day. They did not know that the contents of the blood would be at the optimum for healing on that day of a persons life.
2. Gold is described as having a clear quality. It was not until the 20th century that man was able to get gold that pure as to observe it's clear quality.
My turn to ask a question. Why do you care. We are only interested in you becoming a christian if you ask or do something that indicates that God is calling you (which you have done) but if you are in fact satisfied where you are you could just enjoy your status and no one would bother you. If a christian comes to your door to tell you God loves you and you ask them to leave do they put their foot in the door,,,no. If this does happen and you want them to leave just say the book tells you to witness as you go, I am not in your way why do you bother me. If they continue they are very likely not christians.

Besides other many qualities of any religion I would prefer to quote only one.

There is no doubt that an athiest also love serving people.but there is BIG difference if a religious person do it.

After doing such service a religious person will feel that it was reuired of him and it was just his duty. While an athiest will feel proud and will feel that it could be done because of him and his power only.

This simple reason can be understood by the religious person only.

Every religion has 2 aspects i.e. spiritual and political. It is becoz of the pol aspect that the followers of any religion have disgraced the spirituality.

Why are you so stubborn? We strongly believe what we speak of. The Bible was inspired by God, the other books were not. Christianity is not a religion is a lifestyle, either you are one or you are not. It is ok if you are not, you are not dead yet, and God has a plan for everybody. Just wait....... Every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jeus Christ is Lord. I firmly believe.

Any person who is too religious or orthodox is a fanatic.
It is some kind of madness. To lead a normal life, you don't need any body's help. Your parents (if they are wise & decent) are better than any GODS. So, believe
them, have faith in them and take suggestions from them for anything & everything. Have good friends, & learn many things from them from time to time. All religions can tell only good things. So, they are no better than your own parents. Learn to live happily with what you have. You will be happy forever.

Read Josh McDowell's book, Evidence that Demands a Verdict, and you will have greater insight as to why the Bible is the most reliable book on the planet.

Not only religious ppl, all should be stubborn when Truth is realised.
One cannot check every thing. Information's must be received.
Confirm by analysing with what you got already.
After that you must transfer to the Truth and be Stubborn.

Religious people are stubborn because they are narrow minded. The Ego makes them behave so. All religions teach us to kill our ego and surrender to God. But we surrender to our Ego and try to kill others' individuality. Hence become narrow minded not tolerant to any other beliefs.
