Supposedly nothing on this world or no word in the human language can truly define God. If God is a mystery that can't be described, how are we supposed to understand him and religion?

We're not supposed to understand Him - just believe. It's what faith is about. We can appreciate His works - like the world and the universe but no human can really comprehend the true nature of God. What we know about Him is what He has told us in the Bible - that much all people can understand. Mystics and Prophets through the ages have been able to speak with Him - but that doesn't mean humans can understand Him or His nature.

For example, if you met a famous scientist you might be able to speak with him on a layman's level, but you would never understand him if he starts to talk about his science.
He would only be able to communicate a little of his knowledge and it would have to be in terms you could understand. You could never really appreciate his work on his level.

What we're supposed to do is to follow the basic idea - love God and love one another for His sake. Religion is there to help us do that and hopefully to bring all men together.

Because you put him so high in your mind that you cannot even touch his toe. If you only would try see how he lives in you maybe you would know that He is not that impossible to understand. Know yourself that you may understand him. Your religion must have set you so far apart from him like an angry God seated on a throne watching every wrong move you do. His rules are simple, follow His command so you can live righteously but do not be afraid to make mistake. Just so remember to go back to Him everytime you wander away and do things right.

Moses sought to know God's ways--how He did things. The problem with that is we begin to think we have the pattern down and we miss God, because we expect Him to speak or move in the same ways. That's called tradition and man made doctrines. God is the same yesterday, today and forever more in his nature--holy, righteous, just, faithful, loving, etc. But He is God and past us figuring out. We come to Him in faith believing that He exists and will reward those who diligently seek him through repentance, reading the Bible, worshiping Him alone and praying.

David sought to know God's heart and was known as a man after God's own heart. Our job is to love God and allow His Word (Bible) and presence (prayer/worship) to change us more and more into the image of His son Jesus. When we lay down our ambitions, dreams, plans, etc. and seek the creator for our purpose and destiny, we go after the heart of God-- The heart of why we are here.

In the name of Jesus, I command every human logic and thought contrary to the Word and will of God to be destroyed now. I command all darkness to be moved. I call forth the light of the finished work of the cross to shine and to peirce your mind, emotions and will so that the eyes of your understanding is opened according to Ephesians 3:17-19.

Happy Journey to the center of God's will for your life!

You are not. True peace will come when you find comfort in the fact that there are many unknowable things in this universe, the Creator foremost among them.

Always shun the words of those who claim to know what God means, wants, thinks.

The Creator is our parent and our friend.

Faith starts where IQ ends.
Creator can never be like creatures.
So never try to Imagine THE ALMIGHTY ALLAH but you can understand THE ALMIGHTY ALLAH.
As whatever you found something powerful in this universe just believe that THE ALMIGHTY is a lot more powerful than this.
As whenever you see something beautiful in this world just believe that THE ALMIGHTY is a lot more beautiful than this.
Means:
The Most Supreme is THE ALMIGHTY ALLAH.
JUST UNDERSTAND THAT.

with our limited intelligence we are incapable of understanding god.
We need not understand him either. But realizing his greatness is a must for every human being. This is because humanity considers some of her own children great because they did slightly better than the average intelligent people. So why you will not consider him greatest of the great when he manifests himself in every known and unknown form?

Religion is useless, to understand him you must first be a part of him. You knowledge and understanding, useless, just look at this world ran by nonspiritual men, need i say more? you must be born again and confess him as your lord and savior, then he will make known to you all the mysteries of his kingdom. He will teach you and make himself known to you, when you seek him, your a big boy now, you can make your own decisions, so you must choose to serve him. Then he will reveal all that it is you want to know, try it, he will balance you out.

To achieve God you have to penetrate deep into your soul. You have to fathom so deep that you will go beyond every thing, away from every thought and imagination. It needs deep concentration for long long time.
