There was this place close to where I used to live that looked after animals that needed caring called Free Me. Everyone used to take animals that they found there. Only this was, they only cared for animals that were indigenous to this country.

All the "alien" animals they refused to care for so Ive looked after a couple of baby birds under their guidance. First thing - do not feed it baby porridge, rice or any of those things that people suggest. Pidgeons are also not fruit eaters so apple is out too. Get dog biscuits ( I know this sounds strange), soak in water until soft and try feed that. Make sure also that he gets water every 15 minutes or so. If he looks funny, egg yolk is a good idea - lots of protein. Be careful not to overfeed him though. On his chest is a little pouch. When that is full he's had enough.

Sometimes though it doesn't matter how much you care for them they do die from shock.

The other thing I found is if you become to friendly with them they lose their nervousness of people when you release them so the best is to try and not have unnecessary contact with them.

Lots of luck.

Oh, another thing that helps for stress is if you get some probiotics and put it in the water you give him.

I couldn't BELIEVE how FAST our baby pigeons grew after they hatched! They can't nurse, so I'm reasonably certain they ate the pigeon food that I fed their parents. At one time we had several, but now we have only two left. People talk about them being dirly, but I've found them to be nice, responsive pets. Why would they be any dirtier than a parakeet, cockateel, or a parrot? I don't understand the prejudice against them!

you're able to desire to easily bypass away it on my own. you will comprehend, as quickly because it hatches, if it does, which you is quite not waiting to maintain up with the feeding of the chook. Pigeons are hap possibility messy issues, and that they are scattered previous evaluate. the reality that it laid a solitary egg on you sill isn't amazing, and that it's not comming lower back in simple terms ability it found a greater effectual place, or it died or something. there are maximum of pigeons, you're able to desire to not worry approximately this one egg that could never hatch. yet i know the type you sense approximately it. If I have been you, i would not touch the nest/egg to a lot, if in any respect, because of the undesirable and abounding parasites, mites, and germs pigeons keep on their thickly feathered bodies. They do consume carion, and actual something they are able to finding, and God knows of what nasty issues they're going to discover on a highway..... My suggestion is in simple terms bypass away the nest the place it quite is. it must be the mummy is comming lower back, you in simple terms have not seen it. Durring those warmer years, I even have observed that parrents have not had to take a seat down on their eggs as plenty, extraordinarily today of three hundred and sixty 5 days. although, the egg won't hatch if the humidity is in simple terms too low, that's the case, in case you do not stay in a moist area. laid in simple terms one egg interior the nest and not come back, is in a territorial deffence. some birds do this, the place they bypass around laying random eggs in nests, so as that different birds think of that the area is already occupied. this may be the reason. do away with the nest (and egg if necesary) after breeding season is over (September/october). ANd undergo in innovations, if the egg hatches, bypass away IT on my own! it quite is greater effectual for the chook to die in nature than to die becaus you tried to feed it and that failed. Plus, pigeons feed their yong a milk that's saved of their throat, and you is in simple terms not waiting to reproduce that.
