every once in while I eat something greasy and 20 minutes later my stomach cramps and I am in the bathroom. I am wondering if it is because of the missing surgery.

My husband had his removed about a year or more ago. The only complain he has, is that when ever he eats greasy foods, they move through him quickly..lol. He doesn't eat those super sonic extra nuclear hot wings anymore either. Other than that no problems.

Lifestyle change: Not so spicy/greasy foods.

I had mine removed in Nov. 2005. Since that time I keep having a pain about 6 inches below where my GB was located. The pain doesn't occur after I eat usually, but more often occurs after I take a vitamin or pain pill.

But, I still consider the surgery a success. Before having it removed, it took 10-20 hours for food to empty from my stomach. This means that I could generally eat only one meal per day. So, even with the pain...I'm still glad that I had the surgery.

I had mine removed in February 1994.

I pretty much eat normally, but I have developed a distaste for eating fried foods and most meats. I eat less fatty foods.

I have the rare aftereffect of the surgery that for the rest of my life I have to take "Questran" to pick up the bile acids; otherwise I cannot digest my food right.

probally the same as other people have mentioned on here greasy foods and unfortuanely spicy foods have a tendency to just enter and exit rather quickly with some cramping other than that no other problems. ps i do miss the spicy foods tho!!!
