I don't keep anything in the house I might be tempted to snack on when I'm on a diet. I keep munchy low calorie "distractions" in the fridge, like carrots and celery AT ALL TIMES, so I won't go snooping for somthing bad.

Don't buy them and if anyone else in the house does buy them, tell yourself that the cookies belong to that person and not you. You wouldn't steal, would you? Tell yourself that you can have cookies if you walk to the store and only get the 100 calorie pack or 2 bakery cookies. The walk doesn't make up for the cookies but you'll only eat the cookies if you're really craving them. Sometimes, I put my unhealthier foods in a high cabinet because out of sight is out of mind. If they're on the top shelf, I have to go climbing if I even remember they're up there.

I tried traditional diets 6 or 7 times and always gave up.

Now I just eat 1600 calories a day, usually less, no more than 1800. ..So if I want to eat a cookie I just work it into the calorie count...Ive lost 10 pounds so far, and its been 3 weeks and i'm not bored/feeling like i'm about to get bored or give up (I usually gave up after 1 week, 2 at the most).

You could also exercise (exercise more) and work off the extra calories gained from the cookies.

If you don't like those ideas you could always eat one cookies when you feel the craving coming on, but eat it really slowly and savor it. If you let the craving go on to long you might splurge and eat 50 =)

Well just think about how guilty you'll feel after eating them and how good you'll feel about yourself if u manage to resist eating them. Always remember this saying whenever you eat anything.. you are what you eat so think of yourself turning into a big fat cookie and you wont want to eat it... however everything is good in moderation so eating a cookie once in a while wont do you any harm..... good luck

What works really well is to give yourself one day to eat all the junk food you want. That way it's easier to stay on the diet.

This may or may not work for you but what i did to stop eating penut butter was I bought some nasty organic kind (wow.. i think i still have that stuff) and i couldn't eat it for weeks. Try buying nasty cookies maybe u won't be prone to eat them as much.

You don't diet. You just change your eating habits and make some changes. Like eat less sugar, salt and fatty foods. Then you wouldn't need to refer to food as "Sin". Why deprive yourself of something when you can learn to just discipline yourself to eat better.

why not give yourself a day to cheat. Just one day out of the week. Everything in moderation.
