If God doesn't get more involved, both sides can bend over and kiss the children goodbye. No one can win a nuclear war. Both sides lose.

God doesn't take sides in ANY WAR. God HATES All wars, especially any that has a side that CLAIMS to be a HOLY side! He has nothing to do with the violence and death that go with war. Its rampant violence and mayhem and he dispises all of that!
God is a god of peace and while in the old testament of the Bible, he did condone war in behalf of his people the Isrealites, he no longer fights on the side of any people and instead, has given the commandment-thru his son Christ Jesus- that man is to rather LOVE His neighbor as HIMSELF and that above all man is to Love his god with his whole heart, soul, mind and Body. Now, if you are Busy loving your god with EVERYTHING that is in you, and you are loving your neighbor as yourself ( this meaning being as kind to your neighbor as you would want to be treated yourself ) WHERE on Earth would find the TIME or the REASON to ever want to have a war?

And think about the times in WWII when there would be Priests and CLergymen from THE SAME RELIGIONS in the foxholes of the two OPPOSING armies , praying and telling the enemy troops that THEY WOULD WIN because THEY had GOD on THEIR side. Now seriously, do you think that God would divide himself to support one Lutheran here and another there?

No! God doesn't play like that. In Fact, remember in the Garden, before Christ was hauled away just before he was to be hung on the torture stake, when a guard came for him and an Apostle cut off his ear? Jesus healed his ear and told the Apostles there that " HE who lives by the sword, will Die by the sword" > True Christians are not even to GO TO WAR. Rather, they are to remain Politically Neutral and not to serve in ANY army, have a political agenda or to even argue politics. For THEIR government is in the Heavens and lies there with Jesus Christ and his Faithful resurrected ones that he has choosen to reign with him in the Heavens as kings and priests. THIS is the only TRUE government that will bring true and lasting peace to the world and thus the only political power that TRUE Christians should give any heed to . No political system here on the earth, all thru mankind's history , has ever brought more than just a mere temporary peace, but rather war and tyranny to mankind. There have been no perfect political systems brought forth by mankind. None have worked to give man peace and security like the system that Jesus Christ has promised us and which is coming very soon.

Nope, god doesn't cheer for any team. Sorry about that! He carries PomPoms for no one.

The Creator does not take sides in wars, even "holy" wars. The Creator does send to Hell all those who start and encourage wars, even "holy" wars.

God is on the side of the individual who has good intentions.

He can be with these individuals in both sides at the same time, regardless of what their faiths are.

this is not a very valid question. it puts fire on an already "hot" topic. g-d name should not be spread on issues related to debase his being and his deeds. we all believe in something/someone supreme..and to confound this issue with "jihad=holy war" does not do justice to either party in the conflict --yes, it looks like there is a conflict...i don't know its origin, i don't know how to solve it -- what you call "ours" is also unknown to me. my answer in a form of suggestion is to stay out of this debate...and bring about a better world..by tolerance, understanding, acceptance, love...and a host of other...good humane qualities..rather than stress our differences. hope you get the picture.

God is only saddened by the inability for all his children to live together in peace. Jesus Christ is lord my father. Only through Jesus can you pass into heaven. Allah is not God, Jesus Christ is the one and only true GOD.

Ours because we don't kill in the name of our god, we don't kill others for what they believe. Ours because we worship Him they choose to worship Alla< Or how ever you spell it.

Either way you look at it all of these are good answers!
