I have struggled with eating issues for as long as I can remember. either i am eating too little or too much. food is my friend and my enemy at the sametime but i realise it is just an escape from my real issues. growing up i was abused and lacked confidence. even now i see how it affects me mentally. i know it is a problem and very few people Know about it in my life.I keep it a secret because it is very shameful. some days i feel good, other days, like s hit. My point is , if you have people to support you, you will feel better but you are the one that will have to exercise willpower. life is very complicated but I understand that hurting yourself is not the way to live becauseit only kills your spirit and your body.

You should definatly tell your doctor. An eating disorder does'nt just go away. It often asymptom of somthing deeper, weather your aware of it or not. From personal experience there is always a price to pay physically and emotionally if it remains untreated. It may seem like your not experiencing damage , it often takes a few years to show up. Not to mention lack of proper nutrition causes huge emotional ups and downs, and deminishes your ability to cope or make wise desicions. Your body gets nourishment from your organs and muscle tissue if you don't eat it's required calories and vitamines ect. It messes up your skin, your bones become brittle, you will eventually break a bone or tear ligaments among other injuries that will effect you the rest of your life. Your back goes out, not fun!! Your capacity for learning and concentration are greatly deminished which in turn you can't get through school, get into a college or keep a job. The effects eventually become permanent. You will die if you starv yourself, the body can not cope long term, not to metion your immune system is down and you eventually can not fight off infection. If your bulemic, you should know it ruins the stomach flap that holds food in and it just comes up. This condition requires surgery. You will also have dentures by the time your 30. UGG. Everybody thinks it will not happen to them, it will, I promise. It may take a while but it will. Please don't take it lightly, I am speaking from personal experience as well of my friend I've had for 6 yrs. Please talk to your doctor and a therapist or school counselor.

It's highly possible to get back to a normal life where you eat a healthy diet and perform a healthy amount of exercise. It takes a lot of will power-but it's all worth it in the end. Tell your doctor, or go to a new one if you're not comfortable talking with your current one, as they can set you up with a meal plan and maybe some form of support resources to help you.

The only matter in this ecuation is you. Nobody knows about your condition. So...if you can make a schedule to eat and if you can follow it very close, you will go on without telling your parents or any doctor... Good luck...remember...it's up to YOU!!!
