You're allowing the terrorists to win. When people are afraid to do what they normally would it gives more credence to the terrorists. At this point they don't have to do a thing and they still have us all running scared.
I'm in the aviation industry, I fly several times a month and I'm not scared, neither should you be.

Hello there isn't anything for you to be nervous about remember planes are actually safer than cars! Pilots and their planes go through extensive traning to make sure of their saftey and security. just show up at the airport a full three hours before make sure you don't have any banned items make sure liquids in your carry on are under 3.4oz an in a clear 1qt ziplock bag and nothing that could be used as a weapon (scissors knives razors) and no fruits or vegetables in any of your luggage. and no overweight oversized bags and once you have cleared security stay close to your gate. Wear comfortable clothes and a good pair of shoes that are comfortable to walk long distances and easy to remove at security. Once on the plane if your nervous make sure you don't have a window seat just talk with your family and before you know it you will have arrived. My first time on a plane was when I was 3 weeks old it was from India to California 21 hours and since than I have been on 200 planes with atleast 120 being overseas planes and I have also done dozens alone and also dozens more that are over 20hrs and I'm only 16 you will be fine! I hope I helped and safe travels :)

I am so happy, it was only a 35 minute drive ( 70 minutes total) but absolutely no sign of anxiety or panic i shopped till I dropped - brilliant! I will now go for the next stage DUAL CARRIAGE way, probably at the weekend, with my husband accompanying me first then the solo drive, if successful the final stage of driving on motorway

Im afraid of those all the time:
There's this 9 year old terrorist behind me that keeps beating on my seat.
There's another 45 year old terrorist beside me who has removed his shoes to relax.
There's some annoying woman in the front row who's terrorizing the whole plane with her machine-gun laugh.
Depends on who you're asking...

Airline travel is still the safest in the world.
Take something to calm your nerves and help you sleep through the flight.

Get over it.
Honey, terrorists or not, there's nothing you can do to control your destiny,
So, enough with your chicken attitude and take that plane !!!!
