Hi, the Cherry Hill RV park in College Park, Maryland is very close to the metro or buses into Washington, DC.
I used to live nearby and always was impressed with the neatness of the facilities.
Hope this helps,
Barb

Greenbelt Park, owned and operated by the National Park Service, is the closest campground to the Nation's Capitol, only 13 miles from the White House. Cost of camping is $14 / day.
It is open 365 days a year with facilities for RVs and located about 2 miles from the Greenbelt Metro Station.
Contact information:
Park Headquarters -(301) 344-3938
Ranger Station - (301) 344-3944
Fax - (301) 344-373
Washington Metro Area Transit Authority

I'd call the Ranger Station, (above) for details on the local bus service. If not, a two mile taxi ride won't break the bank.
Good luck
