You refuse to accept the worries and stress. Write down the major worries and stresses you have and cross off any that are really quite trivial.

WE are the ones who imprison ourselves with worry and WE are the ones who can unlock the door to freedom.

If you are doing too much then you MUST do less. It is important to find a balance in your life,

Make sure you are putting things that YOU enjoy into your life to help that balance.

Take a day off for just you, reward yourself and be kind to yourself.

Ask yourself, would the outcome to your worries be any different if you didn't worry about them? Probably not.

Try this, write down one thing you are really worried about and give it a score 0 = not worried at all and 10 = extremely worried.
When the event arrives, ask yourself did the worry help and how would you score the event now that it has passed.

You have to start saying no to things, you can and you have a right to, others would.

If there are things that really do need to be done and you are worried about these, then you need to face them head on so they don't stay festering in your mind.

Always remember to make your pile of good things as big as your pile of bad or stressful things.

Hope this helps.

Some great answers here already that I agree with completely, especially exercise, music, friendship, and laughter. A healthy diet goes a long way as well, and avoiding things like caffeine or alcohol.

Also, I like to write; journaling, short stories, poetry, whatever, I'll just write anything at all and I always feel better afterwards. Try it! If writing isn't your thing, try some other kind of art. I think the act of creating something and expressing yourself somehow is really good for mental health.

Be smart enough to realize that it is all just an illusion! The song by John Mayor about I just found out that their is no such thing as the real word just a lie I have to rise above says it all. Their is so much spirituality in that song that I'm sure he doesn't even know. Just because society says we have to be concerned about certain things does not mean we have to! Are you getting what I'm saying? Its all an illusion!
