I believe the shampoo is expired. Especially if it has a funny smell. That totally sucks though, I moved and that happened to me too. I was pretty ticked.
Try to find it on sale, if you liked it alot. Cosmetologist =o)

Don't get rid of it if it looks and smells the same as when you bought it. Expiration dates are mainly created to move stock in stores. Shampoo (store brands) have so many chemicals that preserve it that it would probably last as long as a tweenkie. Now organic shampoos have ingredients that will go bad, and some even require refridgeration.

Yes.
When you use like these products you must keep attention of manufactured date and they indicate the no. of years to use this products safely instead of Expire date (Eg: "best within 3 years from m.f.d.")

If it expires the date it is advisable to buy a new one and throw the old one which may harm your scalp and hair.

If you can find the date of expire or manufacture date and years safe to use it is no problem to use it. But it expires or cannot find the date as it is 4 years old it is not good to use. Normally these products expires after 3 years from the date of manufacture.

I didn't think that shampoo expired but, I found some in a closet and it was more the consistency of jelly than shampoo. I don't believe yours would be UNSAFE, perhaps not as effective though.

I wouldnt advice you to use it your hair definitely cost alot more than $25.

Secondly the reason why i am saying this is coz shampoos also contain chemicals and they do expire.

So.... its bettter to be careful!

Take Care,

I have never heard of any expireing. They won't hurt you but may not do what they are supposed to do. Kind of like anti-biotics, you can still take them after exp. date but they will not fight your infection.

No. Shampoos can last forever. Just give it a shake and use it up.
