Make her take it.Im so happy to hear that the dog feels better.I can say that Iv had a dog with parvo who made it & Iv had 1 that didnt.I can say that its an airborne virus & contagious to other dogs,,more so puppies than older dogs.Once they've beat it,,they wont get it again but it is tough to beat & comes on fast & strong. When they start looking too stiff,,you have to get them "with it" even if it means staying with them around the clock for a few days or watching them very closely. One sign of parvo is dehydration & you can check this by pulling on the scruff of the neck gently,,if the skin doesnt snap back,,the dog is dehydrated.Pedialyte or a generic brand works wonders with dogs with parvo (& other illnesses as well.) It is sold in the baby section of a grocery store ( dont get fruity flavor.)Keep your dogs apart for now if possible & use bleach on floors & dogs bedding.Air out the house.Good luck>>>>>DO NOT GIVE THE DOG ANY OTHER MEDICINE UNLESS PRESCRIBED BY THE VET<

When puppies are given their first booster vaccinations, they get a series of 3 vaccinations, which collectively are called DHLPP, which does include the Parvo vaccine. The first vaccination is given at around 6-8 weeks-old, then the second vaccine is done at around 10-12 weeks-old and then the third vaccine is given at around 14-16 weeks-old. Parvo is a very serious disease that can be very deadly to puppies. Once the puppy gets the 3 booster vaccines, then they only need to get vaccinated once a year, which does include the Parvo vaccine. Some vets will give dogs that are at a low risk of contracting Parvo the vaccine every 3 years but most give it once a year. Your 11 month-old puppy should have already had all of his first booster vaccinations already, so both of your dogs, the 11 month-old puppy and the 4 year-old dog should only need to get the Parvo vaccine once a year. Best of luck with your dogs. Hope I helped.

FIRST OF ALL IS THE PUPPY EATING FOOD AND DRINKING WATER?????????????? tHE IVS ARE TO PREVENT DEHYDRATION IN THE PUPPY AS PARVO KILLS THE PUPPY BY DEHYDRATION. iF THE PUP IS EATING AND DRINKING AND KEEPING IT DOWN WITHOUT THROWING IT UP THEN THE FOOD AND WATER SHOULD BE ENOUGH. PUT IN A PHONE CALL TO YOUR VET AND EXPLAIN WHAT IS GOING ON.
WRAPPING THE PUP IN A TOWEL OR BLANKET AND CUDDLE IT IS A GOOD IDEA, BUT THE PUP NO LONGER NEEDS THE IVS IF IT IS HOLDING DOWN FOOD AND WATER.
AS FAR AS YOUR OTHER PUP, IT CAN GET THE VIRUS. AND IF IT HAS NOT HAD VACCINATIONS IT PROBABLY WILL. THE INCUBATION PERIOD IS BETWEEN 4-10 DAYS.
PARVO IS NOT AN AIRBORN VIRUS AS SOMEONE STATED. THEY CANNOT GET THE VIRUS FROM BEING IN THE AIR. YOU HAVE TO TAKE CLOROX BLEACH AND WATER SOLUTION AND TREAT EVERYTHING. SOAK THE FOOD AND WATER BOWLS IN A BLEACH SOLUTION. TAKE A SPRAY BOTTLE AND SPRAY THIS SOLUTION OVER THE YARD.
PARVO IS CARRIED IN THE FECES MATTER OF THE AFFECTED PUP, AND OTHER DOGS.
EVEN AFTER RECOVERY KEEP THE PUP AWAY FROM THE OTHER ONE FOR AT LEAST 30 DAYS AS THE VIRUS IS STILL CONTAGIOUS FOR 30 DAYS IN THE SICK PUPS FECES.
THE OTHER PUP WILL MORE THAN LIKELY CATCH THE VIRUS IF IT HAS NOT HAD ALL PUPPY VACCINATIONS.

Did the puppies have their shots?? It is much cheaper to vaccinate the pups than to cure the disease. Most dogs will not get parvo if they have had their full round of shots. If both dogs have been together, it is very likely that the other dog will get parvo too. I am sorry that you have sick dogs.

Get some cheeze rool it in a ball and have someon with you hold the cheese ball in their hand and let the puppy know it's there, they will focus all attetnion on the cheese ball then what your trying to give her, and good luck with the treatment. Good luck witht he treatment and I hope she is doing really well, it's a shame what parvo does. If her sister hasnt been diognosed with it yet she might not get it and if she is vacinated she will not get it.

You can wrap her in a beach towel, or a blanket, and hold her close while you give it..Try to comfort her and keep her calm..the more clam you stay, the calmer she will be..
DO NOT give the cheese, or the benadryl....
