I would like to know more about the beliefs of both religions and the problems that they are facing. Why are they waging war against one another?

Why don't you start by going back to the beginning and learn about Abraham. Talk to a Rabbi and the equivalent in the Arabic religions.
My apologies to any Arabic members here for my lack of knowledge as to the proper title for a person comparable to a Rabbi.
Compare the two stories you are told and how they agree and disagree. You might even consider having one of each for a sit down and discussion of their two points of view of what happened with the sons of Abraham. It may prove interesting.

You got to go all the way back the Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. That is the start of the whole mess and why they want to blast each other off the face of the planet. It never changes... it is the same old song of who should have gotten the birthright... and who cheated whom.
Incidentally Allah is not the same god Christians worship. Allah does not even recognize Jesus as God's Son.
Good book for you. "Understanding Islam" by Norman Geisler and Abdul Saleeb. Strongly recommend this book. It is that good.

Muslims belief in their god ALLAH. He is the same god that the jewish and the christians belief in. The religion says u should tolerate others religion.

i can sum it up in one sentence.because the Jews thought they were God's chosen and hence exclusive to the rights of prophethood,when it was given to the arabs all hell broke loose till this day.

for the resons that they are fighting. you might want to look into the history of israel and palestine. they both claim that it is thier land.
