I think age should not be a factor here. Look at Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher. My girlfriend is 3 years older than me. We're fine and has been together for almost 4 years now. It may seem long to a lot of people, but relationships should be taken mor seriously. It should be til the day you die or he dies which seperates both. If there's no commitment, then it doesn't matter does it?
On losing the virginity part, you will lose it when the lust for sex gets out of control and then the say of who you want to lose it to will be out of the equation. Btw, how would you know if that guy is special to you? When you are in a relationship, he/she should be the special person to you, no?

It sounds like you two get along great. No-one here has the right to judge you or him- He might actually see something in you.
The problem with age is that you're 17... When do you turn 18?
Can he wait less than 12 months for you?
There will still be plenty of flirting until then right?
I'd still be cautious because chances are he's been with other girls and if you want it to be "special" maybe you should find another guy who is also waiting for that special person to have his first time with.
The bottom line is this- NOW, not legal- When you're 18- none of our business- your choice.
Good luck, you sound like a sweet girl. :)

He is WAY to old for you! And please don't lose your virginity to him. That's something special and something that you should never regret. It kinda freaks me out too when guys are way older. I'm 20 years old and I won't date anyone who's more than 3 years older than me, but that's just me. Feels too weird. Just think....when you were 10, he was 17. Freaky huh? Just keep that in mind. Maybe he doesn't have enough confidence to believe he can pull anyone his own age, so he goes younger, because younger females tend to be more naieve. And he shouldn't be calling you every second of your life either. It may be cute right now, but its going to be a problem in the long run.

I think it depends on the maturity level of both of you. I met my wife when she was 16. I was 19. We have been together ever since which was 14 years ago. It would be a good thing to make sure it's ok with your parents first though. But to answer your question, No I don't think everyone who is 17 is too young for someone who is 24.

only you can decide whether the man is special or not to u.
it's not a gut. everyone knows that 24 is older than 17. He is flirting with u or rather seducing u. Be careful girl. To have a huge crush on someone can give humangous effect to our brain.
i hope what u mean by " real-relationship" is "marriage". Otherwise... hmmm... :(

Take it one day at a time. He might be a great guy but be sure you are ready for an older guy before you jump into it. You might want to wait a bit before getting serious since there is such an age difference but it all depends on the maturity level of you both and the dating experience you both have. It can be done. Good luck however you decide.

Honey;
If you have questions don't give him the thing that the man you will eventually marry should have!!!
I know it's hard. But you can only do it the first time once!
Never again.
The man you marry will always,, in the back of his mind,, know that you gave his gift to someone else. I'm not a christian nor am I a prude.
I am an old disappointed man.

In some states that isnt even legal. Seven years is quite a bit, especially at your age, although it could be worse. Then again, if you are fairly mature the age difference isnt really that much, and you might have a lot of fun with someone a bit older than guys your age.

Now, the age gap seems huge. But in a few years (say 3), it will mean nothing. Go with your gut feeling and tell him that you are crazy about him, but the timing is not right.

If you tell him flat out that you will not have sex with him under any circumstances, he'll leave you alone, but you already know that! That's why you won't leave him, because he gives you as much attention as you want! I don't think that that's a bad thing, but there's so many diseases out there that I'm glad to hear that you want to wait! You'll feel much better about yourself if you wait! As for him, it's okay to tell him you aren't trying to have a serious relationship right now!
