Yahoo sent me an email that says airlines now require an e-ticket or receipt. Yahoo travel says the system is busy and...I take off tomorrow so I can't print a ticket. Is it possible to print a ticket at the airport...or am I screwed and should bill Yahoo for the missed flight?

You dont need anything other than your ID to check in. An E-Ticket is an electronic ticket...its paperless. Having the itinerary helps if you dont know your flight numbers, confirmation number or if there is a problem with your reservation. Sometimes there is a glitch and the reservation can drop out of the system. RARE RARE RARELY does that happen. You can log on to the airlines website, enter your PNR, Record Locator or Confirmation number (those are the phrases you will see on the printed confirmation you were e-mailed). It should be 6 characters, usually a combination of letters and numbers.

You wont print a ticket...the system is paperless, you already have a ticket. What you will print at home, the kiosk or at the ticket counter is your boarding pass. So...take a deep breath and calm dowh. Yahoo has caused you some unnecessary anxiety.

For this reason you should always book with the airlines. Not only do they have better rates, but schedules as well. Do research before buying and ALWAYS READ THE FARE RULES.

As long as you know your flights and times, you can check yourself in online with in 24 hrs of departure on the airlines website and print your boarding pass and go straight to the gate if you arent checking bags. OR use the self service kiosk where you will swipe any credit or debit card, its only going to read your name...it wont charge you or record your data. And you always have the option to have someone personally check you in, just have your ID out and readily available and tell the agent the flight number or city and departure time.

Enjoy your flight and thanks for flying!!!

**You dont have to call the airline...9 times out of 10 you will be routed to an Indian call center and they wont be able to understand you much less do anything other than aggervate you. If you purchased the ticket with in 7 days of departure you will need to have the credit card used to purchase the ticket in hand for verification in most cases and it must match the name on your ID. Just remember there is a 30-45 min cut off for checking in, boarding pass issued not just getting in line, and allow ample time to get through security.**

It's just saves you time to print out an E-ticket at home - it can be printed by your airline at the airport because you are in their system - it just means you will have yet another line to be in - however, some airports have self-help machines that you use to print one out. Not a problem - you will not miss your flight but do allow even more time at the airport because of the e-ticket and in case the lines are long. :)

Call the airline you booked with and verify that the reservation was indeed made and complete flight confirmation with them. When you get to the airport the airline will need your credit card and you should be good to go...but call the airline, ok?

Airline have kiosks at check-in. You can use them with a credit card, or present your id at the counter. Either of the means will provide you with boarding passes.

You need to show your credit card which used for transaction. I do not know whether you require paper ticket for that.

In NAIA Terminal 3, you just need to know your confirmation number, no need to bring e-ticket.
