Good question. I've often wondered about that myself. After all, in the Old Testament, God ordered the slaughter of every man, woman and child of both the Ammonites and the Canaanites, and severely punished the Jews for not obeying. Their crimes? Well, they didn't believe in God. That's worth the death penalty, right?

Abortion is an act of supreme selfishness. A living sacrifice to the god of convenience. It is a totally unnatural act.

Now regarding the INNOCENT that you claim God has killed.

The Bible describes God as holy on an infinite scale. You question assumes that His actions and His motives can be judged by you and found to be no more virtuous than those of fallen man. In otherwords, you err in your assumptions because of your low opinion of the holiness of God.

I always find it interesting that those who ask such questions use Scripture to formulate their question to blaspheme God. But they are never intellectually honest enough to first search those same Scriptures for the Biblical understanding of who God is.

That is nothing short of proof texting to guarantee a distorted view of God so that they can justify their rebellion.

As for your suggestion that God kills the innocent, if they were truly innocent and were caught up in the general wrath of God, as in Sodom for example, they were IMMEDIATELY ushered into the presence of the Lord. Which is a far better place than here. And if they are sinners of whatever age, they deserve judgment anyway.

It would be wise to realize that God in His holiness has absolutely no moral governmental obligation to forgive. it is by GRACE that we are saved. It is by the love of God. And if in the process of demonstrating that love it becomes necessary to first demonstrate His absolute holiness first, then God remains righteous still.

Good question.

""The glory of Israel will fly away like a bird, for your children will die at birth or perish in the womb or never even be conceived. Even if your children do survive to grow up, I will take them from you. It will be a terrible day when I turn away and leave you alone. I will love them no more because all their leaders are rebels. But now Israel will bring out her children to be slaughtered." O LORD, what should I request for your people? I will ask for wombs that don't give birth and breasts that give no milk. And if they give birth, I will slaughter their beloved children." Hosea 9:11-16

"The Lord on his part has forgiven your sin: you shall not die. But since you have utterly spurned the Lord by this deed, the child born to you must surely die." Samuel 12:11-14

"So the LORD our God handed King Og and all his people over to us, and we killed them all. We destroyed all the people in every town we conquered men, women, and children alike. But we kept all the livestock for ourselves and took plunder from all the towns." Deut. 3:1-7

If it is Biblically acceptable to murder/kill, as many "Christians" claim, how do they then justify that belief in light of the following:

The New Testament clearly documents the occasion where Christ was betrayed in the garden by Judas, who lead the Roman troops to Jesus. One of the disciples then proceeded to cut off the ear of one of the Roman soldiers.

What did Jesus (the Christ whom "Christians" claim to follow) do? He picked up the mans severed ear and healed him. He also admonished his disciples to "turn the other cheek" (albeit on another occasion).

Now in light of this example set by Christ (an example Christians should follow - IF they are truly followers of Christ) ask yourself the following question:

Who Would Jesus Bomb? Who Would Jesus Rape? Who Would Jesus Kill? Would Jesus Lie? Who Would Jesus Blow Up?

So many Christians are pro-life because they feel that they have the right to inflict their morals on all people. It infuriates me.

the Bible god is a "do as I say not as I do unless you want use Me as a justification for committing genocide" kind of father figure.

and what's so funny is that the Bible god isn't even against abortion as he recommends using abortion as a way to determine the guilt of an adulteress and as a punishment for that crime.

Num 5:27 And when he hath made her to drink the water, then it shall come to pass, [that], if she be defiled, and have done trespass against her husband, that the water that causeth the curse shall enter into her, [and become] bitter, and her belly shall swell, and her thigh shall rot: and the woman shall be a curse among her people.

That's just the point. It is God's prerogative to decide when each person dies. He alone gives life. He alone legitimately takes life. Not anyone else.

Let me answer with a question:
If you are walking with your child holding hands even,,, and they fall & you were unable to pull them up before they scraped their knee,, did you allow it to happen?? This is life. You "made" your child as God made man. But,,, you dont control each thought & action of your child. God weeps with each scaped knee & each lost life.
